I've got a slight problem.

I just purchased an e-grip for my 98 custom, and installed it myself.  I connected my air source to my marker and give it a pull----all it does is fire erratically (such as when you run out of air), and then suddenly stops, and the bolt uncocks.  It seems to work fine without air (it makes the ticking sounds), and I haven't tried running paint through it yet.

Any ideas?  Or did I just miss something stupid in the instructions?

Could your ball detent(latch) be in backwards?.

Did you remove the metal band from the trigger?.
