Would I be able to walk on an A-5 double finger trigger with two fingers? Or are they designed more for reducing fatigue and increased comfort? It doesn't seem like a standard A-5 double trigger would be able to reset fast enough to walk on it without something else to aid it like a response trigger, correct?
Also, does an E-grip increase semi-auto speed capability? Or is it pretty much only good for burst and full auto? |

The double trigger will walk as fast as your fingers can pull. The JCS Dual trigger might be better for walking though as you can adjust it. The E-grip is great for semi. I only used semi when I had an e-grip because it was so easy and fun for me. Also it helped me get better at walking for the tournament scene.

Aaah thanks. Well my first experience with an aftermarket double trigger for the A-5 was not too great. I expected it to work out of the package but it didn't work properly once I cocked the gun. Even after filing down any of the parts that would most likely be causing the problem. I think I might order the kit made by tippmann to play it safe.
How exactly does the E-grip help semi-auto? |

The e-grip is an electronic board with a little micro switch that the trigger hits in order to set everything off. The micro switch has a much lighter pull than having to pull on the sear to trip the sear. So once the e-grip is in, you could just tap the trigger gently and it will go off. If you make it really sensative, you could just be running and the trigger will nudge the switch just enough to fire the marker. You most likely won't be making it that sensative. |

Just walking with a double trigger on a standard grip isn't going to work well. I suggest you get an E-grip with a double trigger and play on Turbo. With the Turbo setting the gun fires once when pulled in, and once when released. If you walk with that setup, you can achieve a pretty high BPS.

I second that. I run a JCS double trigger on my E-grip. |

The Pull and release fire is auto response...Turbo is every shot is semi till you hit it twice real fast then it goes in 3 round burst...atleast for e grip out the box WAS board..E grip also puts you at about 15bps with out internal mods... Neather set up auto or turbo is legal in limited speed ball Negatives about the egrip though are you will get a "bounce" call when its low on pressure usually around 1k psi..it will stick in full auto even if its programed on something else Full can be broke by hittn the trigger again |

I have no idea what you're talking about there but, then again, I have the APE board so maybe it's a WAS board thing. I use a JCS double trigger with my egrip which works fairly well but I think it could benefit from having a trigger stop. I didn't like how it felt using the installation described in the instructions with the 2 springs so I threw my pen spring back in and adjusted it to have a really short pull before activating the switch. It has a slight bit of extra travel after firing but almost none before so I can still walk it pretty quickly. I may drill a hole through the back of the trigger guard and stick a long screw through it to make a trigger stop to get a little more out of it. |

Sounds like it.
I just got an eGrip Rampage Pro double and the thing is amazing...well worth the extra $40. |

I agree that you need to have some sort of eletro board, I put a 2x on my A-5 with out any other mods and my index finger would hold up the recock. I left the gaurd and put the single trigger back on. It feels good for me and I like the way it works. That is with out any type of board or an response trigger system. I imagine it would work quite well with a board installed. |
