Oh!!! by the way Nauzerlvr, I want to thank you for introducing me to OpsGear! I never heard of it before, and I took a lil tour through their neck of the woods, and I must say that I was QUITE impressed!! I can see that others frown upon it, but it doesen't really matter to me, because my crew and I go for realistics as far as looks, only problem is that my crew was just sent to Iraq for the better half of 2 years, so there goes 7 members of a 12 player crew. |

You're quite welcome! Hope you enjoy using them. They have certainly given our team the opportunity to better enjoy the scenario aspect of playing paintball. And, they're great to order from. |

Here are some photos of the G-36 as it stands now,
minus the broken stock but with the JCS folding stock and Harris bipod installation:
And with the stock folded:
Harris Bipod attachment point:
...And here's the latest conversion...soon to be an M4 variation:

Dang, you broke the stock? Was the stock just a cheap piece of doodoo... or did you drop it a long ways? The folding stocks looks alright with it.

i say i never like opsgear, but you seem to be different, for yours looks like a G36. aside from the ASA and line, i'd have to do a double take. welcome to the true milsim club. so, i guess Opsgear is cool, but i still like making my own parts. looks great, keep it up.

Here's an idea I haven't seen anyone do. If they have, I haven't seen it.
Take the grip assembly from an A5 that's had an egrip installed and has a flatline barrel. Remove the triggerguard. then attach the grip to the flatline using black cable zip ties available from Radio Shack. The grip assembly should have three holes already in it (third from the removal of the safety). Wonder what that would look like? Somebody try it and let me know...or I'll try it myself... |

it might work. if i had another A-5 to mess around with, i might try it, i've got 2 stock grips... hey, did you see some punk was trying to steal credit for your G36? not to gloat, but i put it in perspective for him, so to speak. i hate it when people take credit for other people's work or imaginative effort. that just irks me to no end.

I've always wanted to do a milsim type deal with my A-5 but some of the prices for kits are terrible. I made the decision that if I did I would try to do it for as little money as possible. I collect firearms already take a look at my russian ak http://www.gunsnet.net/album//showphoto.php?photo=37086& password=&sort=1&cat=all&page=1 Do you think I could just take extra AK parts and make one? |

Do you think I could just take extra AK parts and make one? [/QUOTE] You probably could but seems that it would be rather cost prohibitive you know. And, if the parts are there, why reinvent the wheel? (Nice Ak BTW) Here's my AK Spetznaz:

There are a lot of comments about converting airsoft parts to fit the
Tippmanns and to be honest, I think that however you choose to convert your marker is fine. Choose whatever method you want. That's what makes all this so much fun isn't it. I mean, as long as you're happy with the final product what difference does it make how you arrived at it? The only problem with manufacturing your own parts is that you have to spend the time figuring out how to attach various components so they'll stay put. I've now converted 4 Tippmann A5's to various stages. Most of you have probably seen most of them I think. I prefer to use Opsgear because I like the service I've gotten from them and the parts have been exactly what they advertised. And, they're really not that bad price-wise. I've been looking at the markers you all are posting and the majority of them are very good! Edited by nauzerlvr |
