If I could live in ANY state in the US and not have to worry about whether there would be a job that paid me well enough, I'd move to the eastern part of WV around Snowshoe Mountain.

Hehe. Pats...overrated much?

NJ baby. Livin' in pollution, and only 20min from NYC. More pollution! Yet, I love this place, after 16 years it grows on ya.

It's hard to imagine how the Patriots could possibly be overrated, given their performance each week...

Anyway - I have lived in New England, the West coast, Southern Midwest, and Northern Midwest, in city, suburban, and rural.  They all have their ups and downs.

In the end, however, I prefer upper Midwest suburbs.  About as "boring" as it gets, which is their main strength - that there is no real weakness.  Not too many people, not too few people.  Easy access to cities if you want, easy access to wilderness if you want.  No natural disasters, insignificant crime rates, rational real estate prices, decent weather.

Hard to beat the ease and convenience of suburban living, particularly in the greater Chicagoland/Milwaukee/St. Louis/Minneapolis corridor.  If you want some specific excitement, planes are plentiful to take you wherever you want to go, and then you can come home to casual convenience.

If by "it grows on ya" you mean it gives you cancerous growths from all the medical waste on the beaches and pollution in the air.... yeah, I can see that!

A recent survey showed that of those interviewed, 50% of the residents in NJ would like to move out of the state. Another 15% were undecided meaning that only 35% of the people there actually want to live there.

Because I'm a Jets fan and its my job to find flaw in the Pats. And somehow I've managed to actually win debates on the Pats. Makes me feel proud considering my team is 1-6.

Pollution Revolution? Anyways, I like it here in the Alabmama. We don't live in the redneck part or anything like that. Our redneck numbers have Drastically decreased since tis year's Console wars. Idk what it is with the X-box360 and rednecks but the sure do like it.

But usually the weather is nice, its clean, lots of crime around Birmingham though. But thats almost turned into Blackingham now....Its been taken over by the ghetto and stuff but we live a safe 3 hours away from the biggest little town in AL!
