No, the e-bolt does not *need* high pressure.  Actually the e-bolt only needs about 80 psi to work.  That's what the low pressure regulator does - feeds e-bolt solenoid valve / ram.

The gun valve itself is what requires more pressure.  You can run the e-bolt with standard 850 psi (co2 or hpa), or you can add the low pressure kit and regulate the co2 or hpa down to about 350 psi.

Short answer... e-bolt -> high pressure or low pressure w/ lp kit.

You are never beaten until you admit it.

aka is the lp kit absolutly required because i see pics of 98's with an ebolt and they have a low pressure reg on it without the lp kit.

You don't need the LP kit. With the E-Bolt you can run at a much lower pressure anyways, the LP kit isn't worth it.

GTA e-bolt (mine) is capped around 13-14 bps.....bsi (so I hear) can go up to 30 (but a Tippmann can only cycle around 18-20

if you want the maximum feed rate though, you'll want nitro.....other wise the front bolt will only open up fully every other shot when the ROF is set all the way up.......right now I have mine shooting just around 10bps....
