Exploding Paint Grenades

I have an idea for exploding paint grenades that wouldn't need explosives. You could take the tubing from a squadbuster or buy it at the store, fill it with paint and seal it. Then you could take something that bubbles when it mixes with water (like baking soda, but I'm not sure it would bubble, I haven't tried yet). Then it would would make the tubeing expand and then explode. Do you guys have any ideas of anything that would bubble?

who said anything about normal grenades?

Back in 95-96, I used to play at American Canyon Paintball, and they used to sell paintgrenades that exploded.

I believe they were constructed with a small explosive (like a ladyfinger sized firecracker) surrounded by a plastic bag full of thick yellow paint (thicker than elmers glue).  everything was encased in a cardboard tube not much thicker (in the walls) than a toilet paper roll.  A pull cord was on one end, and pulling the cord lit the fuse.  You waited a second and then tossed it.

When it detonated, it basically overpressured the bag, and the cardboard tube and sent gobs of paint in a nearly uniform direction.  No fragments of any solid that I can remember as the cardboard just kinda unrolled.  More importantly, is that it banged when it detonated (about the same noise as a ladyfinger) so, everyone knew it had gone off and, your opponent felt the gobs of paint hit.  It was also too thick to wipe.

Overall, a product I miss.

I've been messing with some potassium nitrate based paint grenades. Very effective - very safe, too bad they'll never be field legal.

makes one hell of an explosion but doubt it would be field legal

take like a rubber glove or sandwitch bag and fill it with vinegar based paint or colored baking soda

if you use baking soda:
when it is about 70% full, put a small pouch of vinegar in. when you get ready to throw it, puncture the small bag, wait about 1 min (do this before the game starts) then throw

if using vinegar:
concentrate the paint. when about 40% full, put a plastic separator (find something that takes a week for vinegar to dissolve) then put the baking soda in. at game, shake and throw

or you could use a thin, bottle and do the vinegar way but put a small bag in the top filled with baking soda but fill with more vinegar than baking soda (2 parts bs: 3 parts vinegar

Try this, Sucka Feesh! take a vinal tube (home depot) put paint fill dry ice and water. seal, shake, throw, boom. the dry ice sublimates so no shards. there is a big cloud of paint though.
