I know its been done before. Next is removing/filling the velocity adjustment hole. Other plans are to mount Ariakon pistol mag.

Nice work, what are your plans with the pistol mag? Any other plans for it?

Thanks. I had originally planned to top mount/center feed it, but not sure after milling out the gills. I think I would either need to refill the front 2 gills on the left side to allow room for the hole. I ordered the mag and its on its way, so will have to see once it gets here. Alternative is maybe to try and mount it on the right side using the stock hole. Other plans are a wire stock with rear velocity control. Most likely this will be stripped and polished, possibly holes drilled in the frames. I am going to attempt a rifle type front stock that will extend partially under the barrel. Will probably have to try a couple of designs. Probably a polished boomstick barrel. The marker itself will be flat black with just the gills polished.

I ordered them over the weekend, but haven't seen the shipping info yet.  Thanks again for the link.

glad i can help, keep us posted, i want to see it when it's done (or the process lol).

oh fyi, when you do get them, you going to have to mount them backwards due to the hole near the front of the gun, as where the ariakons are near the back.

I figured as much about the mounting backwards. I am guessing I may have to mill off some where the stock front site is. This and having to possibly refill some of the gills on the left may make me lean towards trying to mount it at a 45deg on the right side using the stock hole. Plus, this will allow me to still use the top rail to mount a sight or ghost ring. Will have to see. I will definitely post more pics as I progress. Trying to get it ready for a "pump only" game at a field I like. The owner said I could use a semi if I hand loaded it, and or a pistol. I countered with a pistol magazine fed semi and he said to "bring it".

mounting it on the side might be a cool idea, i was just looking at that and i think it will work, well the mag has a spring in it so it should work fine.

i guess we will just have find out when it comes in the mail.

Here are some updated photos of the progress. Still lots of finish sanding and I am waiting for the wire stock w/RVA. Still debating on finish. Wife is all into the shiny, but I am so anal about the fill spots that I am leaning towards black with just some highlighted polished parts. Opinions welcome. Be kind.

I was actually leaning more towards painting the gun and polishing the gills to make them stand out. Strategically, the spots that had to be filled the show are the stock VA hole on the left and the feed hole on the right. I wanted to get a polished boomstick and than leave the "tube" part w/gills part of the body polished and paint everything else, but not sure if the barrell will fit the front part of the shroud I made. Oh, and I have plugs to fill the bolt holes on the right side of the front stock. Used the bolt plugs from the chair in my office. lol. Very Borg-Tech.

Very nice.

I'm a big fan of that front stock. Is that the mag on top, with sights on it?

Yes the mag is the peice on top. It is from an Ariakon ACP 2.0.  They offer a kit that Kuri led me to that includes the rails to mount it. The mag does have some sort of "sites". The second pic shows the rails that are used to clip the mag on. If anybody is interested, when I get totally done, I will repost and take some disassembled pics as well. Thanks all for the input.

Actually, I just got the stock on Friday and put it on and assembled the marker. I dont have a chrono so I had to wait until Sunday to take it to a local field and get it set up. Unfortunately, I couldnt get the FPS down below 320. I have the front VA screwed and couldn't get it down using the RVA. Since I filled the front VA hole, I would have had to tear the marker apart to get it set right and I wasn't really in the mood after playing all day. I will get some pics up though later today.

With the stock, I noticed a couple of things. The stock isn't long enough, so it will have to be lengthened and also I can't get it tight enough, so I will need to find a way to get it tighter fitting. It is a Rap4 wire stock and am not really all that impress with it so far. I like the look though.

Once I get the FPS and stock squared away, I may look at some way of getting the ASA off of the bottom of the grip. Even with a 9 oz bottle, it a bit unwieldly and honestly with only a 32 shot capacity (2 in the "breach" + 3 - 10round mags) at this point is a bit of overkill. I found an adapter that holds two 12g co2 cartrides and may either mount under the stock once I lengthen it, or under the marker where the current front stock is (and make a new stock around it). Still working this one out in my head.

As a side note, by Brother in law kept caressing it and calling it Precious all the way to and from the PB field yesterday, so I have a feeling it won't be in my possession for long after I work the kinks out.

Sounds like you have a spring trim/replacement to do.

With the stock, I noticed a couple of things. The stock isn't long enough, so it will have to be lengthened . . .

If you only need a little extra length, check out whether or not you could find a shotgun recoil pad to fit it.

Duct tape.  (Seriously; a few small pieces around the portion of the stock that fits between the shell halves is usually sufficient to prevent stock spinning.)

I'd recommend a 6 oz tank; it should be short enough to stay out of the way and is less likely to blow a burst disk than the 4 oz. ones.  (Tippmanns normally aren't air efficient enough to make running 12 grams worthwhile.  However, using the RVA may increase efficiency sufficiently that two 12 grams would meet your needs.)

As a side note, by Brother in law kept caressing it and calling it Precious all the way to and from the PB field yesterday, so I have a feeling it won't be in my possession for long after I work the kinks out.

I visualized that.

Edited:  Forgot to add that the marker looks good and I agree with Kurieitaa regarding the finish.
