So did anyone watch the series. I know its sorta old but they have been
replaying it on the History channel the last few nights. Its on right
now and Im watching it. I think the way they plotted it out was
amazing. It sure makes you realize how different the technology and
weapons are a lot different from today. I want to get the DVD Box Set
but its so expensive its like 70 dollars. Let me know what you thought
about it if you watched it...

I have had the Box set since they have been out. I might have even seen it when it aired on HBO.

Have the DVD box set. They were amazingly emotional, and action filled movies.

I watched the series when it was new on HBO. They are a great series. Don't wanna shell out the cash for the DVD set? Christmas is coming, hint hint. Thats how I got the set on DVD. Also, if you liked the series, consider getting the book "Band of Brothers" by Stephen Ambrose.

I've seen it numerous times, and it was kind of funny when it came out. I had done some research on the 101 prior to the release, and when it came out, I was pretty floored by just how historically accurate it was. If you want some good reading, pick up Stephen Ambrose's book by the same title.

I haven't seen many of the episodes (missed 3,4,5,7,8,9) but from what I've seen it's very good.
Saving Private Ryan was a good movie despite some of it's minor flaws. I don't care what anybody says about Windtalkers but I rented it last night and it too was very good. Edit: can't forget about The Longest Day. Best B/W movie ever. Edited by Tolgak |

Windtalkers was bad. The longest day was excellent...though I can never seem to find the time to sit down and see the whole thing at once.

Another good move is "A Bridge Too Far" The sets were fantastic and the vehicles were great. When it came out in theaters, I found out that there was a guy in Europe who had gone around and collected at least one of every type of vehicle used by the Allies and the Axis. He made fiberglass molds of them and that is what they used. The vehicles, even though fiberglass replicas are historically accurate, not like "Patton". Even though it was a great movie, I find the use of using M48 Patton tanks as German Panzers kind of demeaning.
