Please, Please, Please don't turn this into a bush/kerry/canada/whatever bashing party. I was just wondering exactly where this this forum stood on Bush because me and a friend who has yet to post were argueing and he said that there are almost no anti-bush people here. I almost agreed with him but I wanted to define "almost no".

Personally I'm sorta in the middle with Bush. I hate if economic policy because he is clearly in the hands of big business but I kinda support his forigne policy although he really hasn't done that well in executing it.

Again, I don't want this thread to turn to crap so please respect people's opinions. I mean, c'mon this is America, we have a right to our opinions, no matter how stupid they are...

Edit: I just put yes or no so just decide which way you lean, I know some are in the middle like me.

Now, folks a little political discussion is a good thing, as long as we can keep it civil.

But you and I both know that it won't happen here.  I support bush, and like him.

well... i can't say i agree with bush on many things.  homosexual rights and his position on stem cell research mainly.  The whole homosexual rights thing is totally idiotic.  Changing the constitution to stop homosexual marriages is, in my opinion, discrimative and closed minded.  i'm in no way homosexual... Straight not narrow!

I, being a bio-medical engineering major, am totally for stem cell research.  Embryonic stem cells hold so much more potential than the other types of stem cells.  The whole ethical issue of it is still there though, but not many people know where we could get many embryonic stem cells.  When a couple goes in to get help concieving... the take a bunch of eggs from the woman and fertilize them all at one time.  They insert one into the woman and wait to see if it implants itself.  if it does, the extra eggs that were fertilized, potential human being according to some, are destroyed.  Why not use these cells that are going to be incenerated and study them and help research for possible cures for diseases that threaten millions of people!

there are also some other issues too ... but those 2 just irk me.  i'd like to have someone that can speak a decent sentence as the president of this country... but thats just me!

I like his foreign policy and economic plan, but I HATE his stance on social issues such as **edited** marriage, abortion, and stem cell research.

I like a little bit of bush, but too much requires the use of clippers to keep it trim.

**edit** Newport said it perfect.

FYI, a biomed engineer is the guy who puts the tools on the trays, and the blankets and medicine, they arent doctors/nurses/surgins)(sp?)

Im against homosexual rights, but I guess that comes from my background (because homosexuality is wrong according to the Bible(please don't start a religious debate, im just stating why I'm against it))

I'm for stem cell research with an exception:

I think it should be used for making organs to heal the sick, but it CANNOT be used to clone.  I am against cloning, and as long as stem cells aren't used for that like they could, I'm for them
