Whats better for a A-5 w/a flatline E-Grip or an R/T? Talking to some people i hear that since the E-Grip requires a battery that it has more problems then a R/T. Well....post ur opinions and experiences.

This belong in Upgrades and Customizing.
I prefer the egrip, but the r/t is good too. |

the only reason you would have problems with the egrip is if you try to
do something and not know what yur doing. but you dont have to worry
about that because of the forum. ive had my egrip for over a year
and have never had any problems with it nad i can switch out the
battery in under a minute. the egrip is so much more effective
then a r/t when you play.

Go for the egrip. It has different firing modes and is allowed at tourneys while sometimes the r/t isn't.

I love R/Ts, but I have to say E-Grip for the A-5. For the extra $50-, you get a guarenteed "legal" upgrade, with more modes, and its just better all around. I think a battery lasts around 10,000+ shots. But Im not sure. Its not like youll need to change it in the middle of the game. Go for the E-Grip.

Unless you play strictly rec or renegade ball, you should probably go with the E-Grip.
The RT is good for people like me who don't play at many organized fields, and just want the most firepower for the money and as little hassles as possible. The RT shoots as fast, if not faster than the E-Grip, but it's not as user-friendly and can't do a lot of the little things that the E-Grip can such as modes and such...the E-Grip is also a complete trigger group, which means you can swap it out really quickly and replace with stock grip frame. But then again, the RT can shoot faster, and without batteries! It's a tough choice for some, but most people would be better served by getting the E-Grip. |

Honestly, a RT will rid you of any skill you have. You'll learn
to depend on it instead of your wits. $20 spent on paint is
better than $20 of upgrades.

What do you mean it will rid you of any skill? It's not so easy to just
run around firing fast you know. It takes skill and practice to get the
r/t to shoot well while under fire or in motion.

Impulsive, why are you so against RT's? I could see if you were on a crusade to destroy all fast-firing guns, but you seem to only have a hard-on for the Tippy RT...what's the deal?
Seriously, I have seen at least 3 threads where you rip the RT as hard as you can, but never once have I seen you dis any other fast-shooting paintgun. Did you get ripped on by an RT or something? |

You'd be better off just getting a E-grip, cause the with the r/t you have to make custom screw wholes and everything.

Well I play mil/sim ( woods ball) and I have a e grip and the rt. The rt just feels better. I like the small kick it gives you. + you can adjust your rate of fire just by knowing your marker. I can shoot 2-3-5 round bursts or full auto just by how i pull the trigger. no fiddleing with settings. also i realy belieave that the r/t shoots faster. + no batteries. You dont have to make custom screw holes in your marker. it is super easy to install. and if you maintain your marker ( ever taken it apart) you can have it installed in about 20 mins.
