ok buddy, you wanted it, so here it is. Ions are poorly made guns and they are plastic crap. If you buy one then your stupid as no one will want them in a few months,

Because they are poorly made guns by SP. Way to go SP, they made a cheap gun that has sold very well.

It is plastic, plastic is just a broad term used to decribe what happens when stress is applied to it, not sure what kind though...

It's plastic polymer, reinforced with a rubber outer layer.

This sig is brought to you by Psyrecx, thanks to D-Town Balla.

HAHA, ok buddy, i would take any cocker, with any body on it anyday over some crappy plastic gun. The price, yea, it cost more because it is made A LOT better.

heh... ans is soo much worse than sp... plus it's a cocker... i mean... rip on it and the kick that the gun has will knock you on your butt..

ions are small, light, fast, consistent with a new reg.

the only thing i see wrong with em are the internals... the noid is just hangin out there w/o any casing.

Impulse > Ion

Smart Parts made a good, and bad move at the same time. I like there move because it gets more people into the sport without paying for the hefty price tag. But I also hate it because alot of companies/people are now drooling over them, instead of the Impulse. Alot of companies felt a Hit when the Ion came out because most of them were geared toward the impulse, but the Ion has made countless ammounts of money for shop owners which is good. I don't care what people have to say about the Impulse it is a fantastic marker sure they need a little bit of TLC and money, but some of the best markers I have shot were Impulses... Now I'm not saying the Impulse is the messiah of paintball which it is far from, but the Ion is also not king crap of the neighborhood either, I find it funny when people just completly get on there hands and knees for the Ion, and throw $400 into it, when they could of bought a Shocker, or an Intimidator. Besides the $300 price tag I really don't see how the Ion could keep going in sales...  Unless you use a QEV the thing will never hit over 17bps+ So why the Hell spend all the extra $$$ thinking it will? But with the Shocker/Impulse you know when you spend just $250 into it(Magnetic Trigger, WAS board, Derlin Bolt etc..), they will perform incredible.

Smart Parts is doing somthing to the Impulse right now... I don't know what there thinking of, but since this Ion is out why keep the Impulse around? I've heard rumors of somthing odd is going to happen to it in 06' but I don't know yet...
