ive got a 98 custom with an expansion chamber, and when i had the expansion chamber put on, i shot it and co2 is leaking out from where the steel braided hose used to come out of the gun. anyone know what the prob is??

did you use loctite or teflon tape on the adapter that screws into the gas chamber? if not thats why its leaking. |

More times than not its just that your hose is not tightened enough. Try tightnining it and then see what happeneds

Loctite, loose bolts Teflon tape, air and water connections. |

I agree with the teflon tape route. That's all I use. Much more forgiving. Loctitie is not meant as a sealer, I'm not sure why people use it as such, however, teflon is. Otherwise plumbers would use loctite on gas fittings
and I have yet to see a plumber do that, nor would I want one too. Three wraps with teflon, and you'll be golden...

why not use red loctite? thats what tippmann gives you in the kit...

red loctite is more of permanent type of fastening agent. Use red loctite on bolts that you dont ever plan on taking off or out of things. Use teflon tape for all types of fluid fittings, and avoid loctite for those situations.

plumbers don't usually use teflon tape...they use pipe dope...

yeah my expansion kit came with red too...but oh well, also another reason it could be leaking is if you tightened the threads, and then loosened it a little, you never want to get pipe threads to tight, and then loosen them a little (it causes them to leak)
