   and for clicking the silly title, you have been granted a free herpetology lesson. There are 7 species of venemous snakes in the US. only 7. all 7 can be found in texas too. and in turn, i almost guarantee you can find all 7 under my shed...
Starting with this:

i found it in my front yard, the cat was messin with it i caught it with my hands, an allen wrench, some cardboard and a small cage. it's an eastern coral snake, for those that live in the north (its primarily southern). it is the most venomous snake found in texas, thusly, in the usa. rattlesnakes cause more deaths however, because they are more aggressive. corals are fairly small, the largest ive seen being 3 ft, and thusly, very timid.
i just find it exciting to be literally 1 foot away from a painful death...
in a way, herpetology is a lost "extreme" sport.
