the propaganda horse hit my high school today dropping a big steamy pile of propaganda, trying to get students
to join the canadian army, through the co-op program promising to pay
the students, and trying to make us believe working for the army is not
as dangourous as we may think it is, which i think is total BS! i feel
better now i've ranted.

We took the PSAT Wednesday at my school, and everyone who didn't pay to take it had to take the army aptitude test.
For what I heard, a recruiter gave out the test and was telling everyone that they were too stupid to go to college, so they should join the army. |

Haha...
I remember a recruiter (American Army) came to our school last year, and his main point of trying to get us to go into the Army's college program, is that they have "statistically less rape than most college campuses!" I loled. |

wow, i think the US has it way worse then us canucks with the
recruiting crap. if someone wants to join the army let them but dont
tell people they are too stupid do anything else but fight wars. which
is kind of ironic in itself. send 10,000 dumb people to one spot give
them guns and tell them to shoot other people. this is how bad things happen.

Recruiters are no different than a college rep. They are doing a job. Whether you agree with their job or not is your choice. Its not propaganda because the military can actually be safe. Just dont do infantry and you'll be a lot safer.

STOcocker, we did the same thing. They loaded all of the students taking the ASVAB in the cafeteria, but students taking the PSAT/NMSQT were given quiet classrooms. |

i think its different with the army, most of the kids recruited are going to be foot soldiers, or airborne. college reps are trying to get you to go to there school and earn a degree.(mainly just give them your money to go to school) and recruiters are getting you to sign up for what i think is just about the most dangerous thing you can do. and the way its starting to look, its only gunna get worse. |

There was actually a Marine Corps recruiter who got his tail in a sling around here. When they came to administer the ASVAB, the rule was that there was to be NO solicitation for recruitment. This guy gave us business cards, and asked us to fill out 'more information' requests. A few months later, the Marines came to the school looking for me and a few other friends. It was a different guy, and I asked what had happened to the first one, and they told me that he got nailed for soliciting in schools during the ASVAB. |
