girl problems...

so, coming up on 5 years next month and ive realized i stopped caring...

the house is in both of our names and i couldent afford rent anywhere else, and im not moving back in with my parents...

so im still living with and dating my gf of 5 years but i just dont care anymore, we hardly talk, i dont want to go out anymore (dinner, movies, etc.), i dont like physical contact any more...

i just think its over... i dont even want to try anymore. just feel stuck.

pay a friend to sleep with her, so you can kick her our for cheating, remove her from the house title, move out and buy a tent. rent the house to some buddies then move into the backyard

yea... its been this way for a while... i figure i have about another year until im making any kid of money, i hope to buy a condo down the street and rent out a room.

You need to tell her what you posted here, and do it ASAP.

Prolonging this is only going to make it suck worse than it already is.

The first mistake was moving in with your girlfriend.
And OS is right.
BUT.

The best thing you can do here is be open and honest about it. I think you'd be surprised how often feelings like that are mutual. The only difference between men and women in this type of situation is the woman will stay in a miserable relationship as long as they can, because they can't throw a 5 year relationship away just because of faded feelings. They need a reason, concrete evidence that shows they need to get out of it.
Start the dialog, if you don't you could be stuck feeling the way for another five years.

Also, sorry to hear about the situation merc...if you wanna talk about it, you know the forums always here to make fun of you 'til you feel better. :)

if you're having girl problems i feel bad for you son....

she let me live with her for ~ 3 years rent free (most of the time i wasent paying bills either) and for the past year i have been paying $500 of the $1825 mortgage with no down payment(she dropped like 15k into it), shes lent me tens of thousands of dollars intrest free over the past few years.

i think im just going to save up a few bucks and then egress...

Just from my epic failed relationships, one thing I've learned, you know when it's over.

There's a difference between feeling the wear, tear, and stress of keeping up a commitment, and knowing that it's completely over.

Like Whale and OS said, discuss it with her in detail, but my advice is gee tee eff oh. It only goes downhill from there, and you can save alot of bitterness and hatred by not dragging a dead relationship out to the point where you can't stand each other. It will happen.

That's pretty much what I did with my fiancee, I knew it was over, I had little to no feeling left, but I kept it going until I forced myself to feel things for her, but by that time it was so far gone I got crushed in the whole ordeal. You just kind of know these things when they happen, and that's your sign to exit dodge.

Yeah I really agree with the whole "think about it for a month" type deal. A lot of these emotions come in waves when you are involved in a long term relationship. Mbro's suggestion isn't bad either :D
