my friend got knocked up

This girl who has been a friend for a few years (lets call her Jane) got knocked up prior to graduation, and 4 months later moved out and has living with the father for a month.  Jane is 19, he is 17 (Rape!), and yes, the father is living with his parents.  She is in her 5th month.

I didn't know about this untill about a week ago, my mom is friends with Jane's mom and when she called, she told my mom the whole story.  The mom of Jane is screaming for her to get an abortion, and I, Jane, and her friends, and the father are all totaly against it, we want her to give it up for adoption.

Now for about Jane herself, the wierd part.  She is a quiet person, not the best looking, and I never knew she even had a boyfriend, let alone having sex yet.  The bad part is she had a 4.3 GPA in highschool and got a full ride to OSU, and now that idea is history. 

I know nothing about the father, except I'v heard he is a total jackass, poor, non working, and a idiot.  I have been told this, again, so I am not sure.

Now for the things about me.  What do I do?  Jane dosn't know that I know she has gone through this, and I havn't seen her in about a month.  Do I call her and offer to help her or just let her and her closer frinds, relitives, and boyfriend work through this?

I would call her just for support she could really use that i bet, actually i know, who wouldnt need it

I'm thinking just to plead ignorance, stay away from the problem till she brings it up.  Ignorance is bliss.

Like I said, she isn't the closest friend, and I haven't seen her in a month, and she is in her 5th month, so I may be too late.  She may have everything worked out without me knowing.

Also, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the father.  He just proved his stupidity, hasn't he heard of a rubber?  I'd beat his brains in if I got the chance, she was to nice of a girl to get her life ed up like this.  She never even did drugs or drink just to get hammered.

All in all, I might call her if I hear any more about this or if I have a real bad feeling about something, but I won't now.

 Dude if you think your a true friend help her out but i mean if ya dont want to get caught up in some other peoples stuff ide stay away. but thats sad man makes me wanna cry. ya THE HO i know kid in my grade having sex with like senours and im a freshman its pretty sad that senours have to resort it young girls to have sex.

my question....why is OSU not an option anymore?

and yeah i agree have the kid, and put him/her up for adoption...

sad case, but you cant get ill just at the "father", she also knew he didnt have a rubber on...   

and if you see her mom, tell her to back off with the abortion crap, she isnt the one who would have to live her whole life knowing that she killed her own baby.

and if you see her, just treat her just like you would before she got pregnant. just like the friend you were, dont treat her like she needs your sympathy...ask if she wants to talk about it, if not just be her friend....she thinks about alot as it is, she doesnt need anyone else shoving it back in her face. just try to have a good time with her as before.

Here is the solution:

Call the Maury Show.
Get a DNA test to prove you are not the father.
Cry about it
Tell the girl that you will take care of the baby.



She can defer her college entry one semster or a year. So that isnt a problem.

As for keeping or putting the baby up for adoption, it is not your choice. So dont worry about it.

Also look up your statutory rape laws before claiming someone did so to someone else.

And we`ll all float on ok...
