I still dont hate smartparts their products are among the best you can find they make better barrels then anyone else awsome guns and all around great products until they sue me im gonna continue liking them

But I would wager large amounts of money that in just a few years paintball will be flourishing like never before, and we will be able to point to SP litigation as an important part of that. Not a good read. An excellent demonstration of lack of understanding of market dynamics. The US patent office is one of the keys to the strength of our economy. A common feature among all crappy economies is that they don't protect intellectual property. The US has strong protections; this leads to innovation. SP isn't doing anything that hasn't been done a zillion times in other industries, and always, without fail, for the long-term benefit of consumers. These lawsuits might be tough on competitors, but that's just too bad. Consumers will benefit. They always do.
