I have a dilema

I've been at college for three weeks now and everything has gone well with classes and friends, except for my roomate. I don't have any personal issues with the guy other than he smells like smoke and doesn't clean up his stuff, but he seems to have a problem with me. For some reason he cannot sleep when I am on my laptop, watching a movie, playing a game or doing homework. I thought this was weird because I can sleep fine even to the sound of a key board or the ambient light of a computer screen. So i suggested to him hat maybe one of us should move out, if my computer habits are stopping him from sleeping, because it is unreasonable to ask someone to not be on their computer. Here is where things get tricky. I don't want to be the one to move and niether does he, but i feel that because I have made friends with people in the hall, and he hasn't i should be able to stay. Is this a reasonable request?

I also suggested to him that maybe using earplugs and wearing a sleeping blindfold would solve our problems, but he pushed the idea aside and said he wouldn't be able to sleep wearing those things.

What should I do?

You could beat the hell out of him, then make him move, if he doesn't, throw his whiney **edited** ass out the window, as long as you above te second floor.

I had a roomate that I hated last school year. By the time we both moved out we had done so much stuff to each other that we will never speak again. In fact I will hunt his pics down online to show you how much I dislike him.

See if there is anyone that you can easily switch rooms with. If you dont get along at this point you never will get along with him.

If he wont move, then it is best that you do. Trust me, it will be better in the long run.

I like your ideas and all, but i don't know how easily i'd be able to kick his ass, we're about the same hieght but he is probably 70 pounds heavier, and i'm not really interested in fighting him anyway.

My sister had a blind girl living in her sweet that used to completely miss the toilet in the sweet's bathroom...No one ever wanted to clean it up so  everyone just started to use the hall's bathroom hah
