I decided to try making a wooden stock for my 98c. Looks like crap 'cause I didn't put much effort into making it. It's far from finished. I still have to make it thinner, round the edges, cut a new hole, make the thumb hole larger, stain it, and throw it away.

I'll try again sometime next month to make a better looking and higher quality stock.

I'm inspired, I think I'll go with steel though. Now I just have to find my welding mask.

its a very nice concept and idea, but not put together well.  you need some more meassuring and sand that baby down.

I said I'm not done yet. I had some extra time yesterday so I decided to do what I could with the horrible tools in the garage. All the curves you see had to be done with a drill that wont go side to side.

The metal one is nicer but it's a lot heavier than the wood.

And the one thing that makes it look so bad is that there aren't many wooden stocks that look good on guns with pistol grips that I've seen.

Nice. I'm sure you could make the wood one look sweet, but the metal one is nice. Good job.

I like the general concept of the wooden stock there,, Heh , like everybody ,including yourself already said tho,, its still a  "bit Rough "

Rate it 9/10 for originality , 2/10 execution (I know its not done yet )

Why don't you actually buy an old crappy non-working gun, or air rifle with a wooden stock, and fasten an end-cap onto it, and make an actually real-world looking rifle stock? It wouldn't be that complex... nice attempts though, I actually like the metal one alot.
I spray, you pray.

Hey Tolgak Nice try with your stock. If you have access to router you could route all your edges and take some sand paper different grinds sand it down. It looks you might need to cut the opening for your hand just little bigger. I have some expience in building a stock for a built my custom stock for the A-5 just this spring from concept to finish stock. I hope to post my gun soon for the marker gallery. You will get to see the quaity of what you can do with your custom stock. Play safe and have fun.
