Looks ok, but I don't think the scope is worth. It is a nice scope mind you.

Good luck with the scope. I've had thoughts about doing the same thing on occasion, since a crossbow has similar range to a marker, so a crossbow scope is better suited than a rifle scope. It's the maganification that makes it hard for quick target aquisition, thus the reason many guyus use red dots which have no magnification. FYI, they do make crossbow red dots with four dots, to adjust for range. Anyway, let us know how it works out for you.

Right now, I have no intention of using the scope on my A5, unless I find something decent to mount it with. I picked up the BSA crossbow 4x32 scope almost brand new for $35, and not knowing whether I would use it or not I couldn't pass up the chance

No thanks... I despise drops .The supressor is made out of PVC, hot-glue, tape, foam, and paint. It may sound cheap, but its incredibly rugged. The paint job is what I'm most proud of, 3 layers of black enamel, let dry for 30 hours, sanded with 600 grit, then 3 layers of flat black paint, then rubbed with a soft cloth. I could scrape needles against this thing and it wouldn't harm the paintjob. I'm creating a guide for modding your current barrel to a supressor/silencer type barrel at the A5 owners group, I can post a link here if anyones interested. I'm thinking of using some black tubing (what Trippin mentioned doing) to cover the steel line and my adaptors to give it all one solid color scheme. Any ideas on what I could use for this? |
