Yes you do have to be certified by an Airsmith. I would  suggest you not do this your self. And if you want to be an Airsmith you have to go to a class.

For Co2,   .20c an ounce is about the going rate.

So,  for a 20 ozer,  $4 is NOT overcharging.

$5 would be getting a bit steep,  $6 would be way overcharging, almost criminal.

You'd have to fill a lot of tanks to pay for a fill station, the tank you'd need,  and the Bulk fills.  We started doing it because we had about 8 people who pitched in to help pay...then it was cheaper that way.

Once we got started up,  then it was cheap and convenient to do our own fills.

We used 50lb. Bulk bottles,  but,  you absolutely need to know what you are doing...unless you are an adult,  forget it,  nobody is going to trust you with a 50 lb tank.

Now that I'm on HPA,  I keep a 20lb. Co2 tank around,  and the fill station to help out those on Co2.

Ok... I'm going to convince you NOT to fill your own tanks.

I work at a place that has some 50 lb CO2 canisters.  I thought it would be fun if I blasted a plastic budweiser bottle off the end.  I screwed it on tight, flipped the knob and BBBAAAAMMMM!!!!   My ears were ringing for hours.  The power litterally blew the bottle to pieces.  That was a 50 lb canister.  The filling station ones are 120lb.  Imagine the difference!!!!!  (I know size has nothing to do with pressure, only volume...)    But think!  If that 3200psi thing blows up, think frag grenade!!!!  OUCH!!!! (I learned my lesson!! It was fun though... until nmy ears hurt)

Half of us? Ok.....

Why should we be "commited"? Maybe you should wake up and realize that not everyone is an idiot like you.
