Does anybody know if Tippmann plans on making a new marker. They are really starting to fall off. The A-5 just can't keep up with the demand anymore. It came out JANUARY 1st, 2002. That is over 3 years ago. They are really falling behind times. Every where I go online people are selling or just hanging them up. Look at Bob Long. New markers every year. You don't see ANY pro teams using Tippmanns beside there own team which, by the way, sucks. I love Tippmanns, I would always brag them up but now I am having trouble coming up with things. People say they are tough, so are all these other markers. Do you really buy a marker too pick it up and through it as hard as you can at the ground. NO!!!!!! The Dye DM5, the Shocker and the Timmys can take accidenty drops just as much as a Tippmann and look sweeter. Tippmann needs to get colors too. I know I am rambling but I am losing it. I am about to say but a Smart Parts.

Hey don't get me wrong, color does not make it shoot any different. It is the same reason they have different color cars, houses, clothes. It makes for a better style to match what you like. FLat black is that important. I am in the military and piantball camo is worth your life like in Irag where you don't want a purple M4. Color choice would be nice, you could keep your black and many others would chose there favorite color or black if they like. You are making a bold statment. You are talking for everyone then when you say that about black. So do you think if they had other colors they would NOT sell. No, I have seen a Dye DM4 dropped and picked up and shoot faster that the cyclone could dream of. I am writing this because Tippmann is my favortie brand, I alwaqys get crap but this year I need to keep up with things. The shocker last year was devasting to play agisnt and I can hold my own. Rate of fire does help in this day and age. Point of the day, Tippmann needs a new marker. Also, Tippmann pays for Tippmann Effect to plat and they suck really bad. The truth hurts. Personally, I don't even keep up with any tourney ball whatsoever. But as for the A5, it still has it's benefits.
Let's see, like you said, it's over 3 years old, and it STILL has the best loader on the market built into the gun! Ever seen another hopper run on air? How much is a 15bps+ loader nowadays? Well, whatever it costs to the normal person, it costs nothing to the guy that just bought an A5! Basically, the A5 costs about $230 last time I checked. It comes with an awesome loader that requires no batteries....that's worth at least $80 in todays paintball world. If you want to play tourney with an A5, you can buy an E-Grip. If you want to play rec, you can buy an RT. Either way you are actually ripping over 15 balls per second for not much more than $300. There's really no new gun that can actually shoot as fast as an A5 in the same price range. To meet the A5's performance with another gun, it would cost alot more money. And to still be able to say that about a 3 year old gun when, like you say, people like Bob Long come out with a new $1000 every other month, is a feat in itself. Speedball or especially woods, the A5 is pretty much still the unbeatable price/performance ratio champ. And not to mention, it looks a lot more realistic than most other production paintguns out there....perfect for a mil-sim mock-up. I guess what it comes down to is that most Tippmann users go by the motto,"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And when you can get over 17bps with a gun that costs well under $300, all without batteries, you can pretty much rest assured that nothing is broken. |

^^^ 17BPS?????? WTF?????? I dont think so, the a5 wont even do 9. MAYBE
13 with e-grip. Thats with full auto which is illegal in tournys. I had
an a5, big and bulky, you needed to have a tool box on you to take it
apart. GO look on pbnation they are dirt cheap. There used, no one
wants them, i mean wow they can be dropped. WOW any marker can be
droped, that is all tippmann has for the outdated piece. The cyclone
feed is such a gas hog, let alone with the R/T. Tippmanns suck, id
rather go buy a spyder then a tippmann, I hated mine. I will never go
back. People with a-5s get made fun of, really they do.
and for the guy who thought that id be cool with 3 posts to make a 2nd post, get over it. The guy is gunna suck anyways, and in another 3 years you'll be complaning about the same thing. LET IT GO. |

I think they could use a new gun but i dont want to see yet another electro.
Im a woodsballer primarily and speedballer in the off season. Theirs lots out there for speed ballers and the chance of tippmann getting a large slice of that market is slim at best. But they already OWN the woodsball market and need to offer newer better faster marker for this. |

I'm Sad to inform you but... umm... With Summit as C&C
I'm thinking there ganna want "EVERYONE" To know that Tippmann is not
just the Most duriable company around but one of the fastest...
Summits ganna want to smear Tippmanns NEW LOGO
Around like a Monkey does with Crap.... When the New Tippmann is
realesed(sp) you guys wont be impressed some of the "old
Technology" will still be there but... <sigh>
There ganna mix it with ALOT of new... I'm unclear if it Has
Bounce Beam or Break Beam... (dont ask) But Tippmanns Tech's are
working on a New System of Gas Usage... (dont spam me about how it
works) It does somthing with the Bolt and it sets it Back to The
Correct Spot so it will be impossible to chop, at any BPS Rate...

Think about it. The model 98 lasted for two years until the custom came out to allow more upgrades. Then in '02 the A-5 came out. So you have one gun that essentially lasted for four years with only a slight change in the body to allow for more options, and another one that's been out for three years.
Personally I think we won't see another gun until '06, but possibly this year if they're already working on it. I just hope it's not some retarded flashy electro. |

Please allow me to own you with one point: You say you owned an A5, yet you also say that,"you needed to have a tool box on you to take it apart." If you ACTUALLY owned an A5 at one point in your life(which you OBVIOUSLY are not cool enough to do), you would know that you need only one allen wrench to take it down to get at the internals. And I can personally say I own an A5RT and it gets virtually the same gas efficiency as my M98C without RT.....please leave these forums now. You have no useful knowledge. |

One thing I just thought of, and thought I'd post it here.
Ever notice how Tippmann bashers typically have no facts? I swear, before I got my first paintgun I read all I could on all the different guns. From what people said, the only real disadvantages of the Tippmann were low rate of fire, heavy, and long. When I saw my first Spyder next to my M98C, I was surprised that the Spyder was really no more than 2" shorter than the M98C. It also felt heavier and less balanced. Then I shot both guns, and I liked the trigger on the M98C a lot more....I could easily shoot faster with the Tippmann. Then I got an A5 w/RT, and I realized just how fast an "entry-level" paintgun can shoot! If you don't think the A5RT can hit 17bps, you're wrong. Edited by Zesty |

Right on the money, Zesty.
People just want to trash talk, and they could care less if they have facts to back them up or not. |
