What size engine under the hood? I have a '71 Ford-100, rebuilt 302ci engine under the hood. Runs fairly well, but need to change the oil here soon. Probably do it this weekend.

Edit- To be honest, I wouldn't look into a vehicle with:
      1. 4-wheel drive: you will be tempted to do stupid things
      2. Old cars: money pits that may or may not run
      3. Trucks: again, money pits and if you 4-wheel, busted axels and CB joints.

Because most people do.

I would take an old stang, but for the price of one in good condition like you say, id get something newer. Or atleast do a few things to the 66' and sell it for more.

Up here if you dont have 4 wheel you suck. You wont be leaving your house all winter.

Getting a nice first car is great and all, but usually not the best thing to do.

Down here, if you have 4-wheel drive, it means you will be paying a few thousand to have your truck towed, new axels, suspension, etc.

Because they think all young drivers are bad drivers. Inexperienced, yes, bad, not always.

As for you getting a chumpstang, I would say no for 4 reasons.

  1. Mustangs Suck
  2. Its red + your young = cop magnet
  3. You will pay insurance up the wazoo
  4. Its a mustang...
