This would defy the laws of physics but it would be pretty sweet if some how you could fit like a whole 30/45 Nitro tank (The Air In it not the tank) into a gas thru grip and it would be normal sized.  It would cut down weight and would make your gun a smaller target.  Good idea but physically impossible.

Curly, the reason why there is a Paintball Idea section of the Forum is to give others "an idea that it can possibly happen".....day dreaming about an idea and then stating that it wont work is not an idea at all.

The pressure would be like 350000 psi. Don't believe me? Well, I made a guess, but it would be six digits, if not more.

It seems like all the cool cats do this:
Custom 98, Flatline, r/t, CAR stock, custom camo paintjob, which every hopper I feel like putting on it, vertical adapter, oh dibs, I'm running out of charact

current tanks are pressure tested to around 20000psi for safety. I say why not make some sort of ergo tank at around 10k psi and see how many shots you get. not co2 though, hpa

nothings impossible.  you can only make that way.

it would be hard but i believe you could probably compress the c02 enough that it would fit.

Because I can.

I just took the time to figure it out. In my calculations, I used a 68 cubic inch-4500psi tank and a foregrip with a .5 inch radius and height of 4 inches, assuming that only 1/3 of it's total volume can store gas. I have to admit, in my post above, I was wrong. The pressure would be more like 292117 psi. That would hurt your hand like crap if you were to blow an o-ring or overfill. Not to mention your face would be in orbit.

up it to 30 grams and it would almost be feasible for scenario play.

it would be like 32 round clips. now how realistic is that?

what about fake clips that will hold that amount of gas for that many shots. seems like a very good idea for scenario guys. where getting somewhere in this thread...

Those little 4oz. or 6oz. CO2 tanks are pretty small, you'll only get maybe 200-300 rounds out of one though. So if you'd like to change air tanks whenever you refill your hopper, these are probably the way to go. Pure Energy also makes something called "Spare Air"; these are non-refillable CO2 tank of 94 grams.

you could do it but it would hold very much u could turn it into a liquid but i think that would be highly dangerous

He’s right, if you can get enough energy out of one atom to destroy a city then you can fit that much CO2 into a hand grip, it would just be really expensive.

^All that energy didn't come from one atom - it was a chain reaction of many atoms. One bumps two, two bumps four...

It is (chemically and physically) possible when you look at the math involved (heck, anything looks good on paper), but is it truly something that can work in the real, practical, and unpredictable world?

You would need to make the grip out of a material that could withstand the force exerted on it by close to half million psi, and it can only be at the most about 0.5 inches thick. Plus, the o-rings and fittings would have to withstand the same amount of pressure.

do you really think that there is only one atom in a rock of plutonium and uranium?  there are hundreds of thousands.
