Immortal Technique

I am not normally one who is into rap, I mean, I enjoy some Snoop dogg, I loved the grey albumn, but it's not really me. My friend one day about a year ago, had me listen to a CD, Immortal technique: Revoloutionary volume 1. This CD Is simply amazing, his rapping is amazing, not commercial bling bling, but political. He publishes on an independant label which he is Exec. VP of. The song dance with the devil made me cry, others made me angry, some made me happy. Overall, EXCELLENT music, you should sample some on the viper records website...

Meh.  I just can't stand rap.

I just talked about this in another thread about hating rap (started by MetallicaESPa5.) Immortal Technique is absolutly amazing! Revolutionary Volume 1 was awesome, but Volume 2 is even better. If Dance With the Devil makes you cry, try "You Never Know" on Volume 2. Wow... It hits me every time I listen to it.

To everyone that says "I hate all rap," I challenge you. Listen to all of Volume 1 or 2 and tell me if your view of rap has improved, even slightly.

Just give it a shot...

^^^^ my feelings, ihave listened to rap and I plain don't like it, I am a led zeplin, the who, aerosmith, rolling stones, the doors, and Jimi Hendrixkind of guy. But occasionally if i am playing my trombone and want to hear it played correctly i will find something classic to listen to. Rap really just rubs me th wrong way. Nothing against anyone it is just not my thing.

I personally LOVE Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Jet, tons of rock, some blues, and classical music. this is like the only Rap I like.

Ok buddy, listen up.

The question was rectorichal (sp?).

Now, I have listened to rap.  I have listened to everything from the "Bling Bling" stuff, to Eminiem (sp?) to Immortal Technique.

Heres the deal : I dont like it!  It has nothing to do with rap being acossiated with African Americans or what have you.  I just happen to dislike that particular genre of music.  If you have a problem with that and cant handle people not liking things you like, then grow the hell up.
