game ideas

has anyone ever heard of the Bodyguard and/or Civil war game?  i'm sure it's been played before.  i used to play them back home.  anyway, in bodyguard you select a president, two bodyguards, and 3 assassins.  the rules are, the bodyguards can never be eliminated but the assassins can and so can the president.  the president doesn't get a gun, that's where the bodyguards come in to protect him.  the bodyguards try to get the president from one side of the playing area to the other while the assassins try to hit the president.  if the president is hit the assassins win and if all of the assissins are hit or if the president makes it safely to the other side then the bodyguards win.  this was one of my favorites.

as for Civil war, you divide your group into to two teams and line up shoulder to shoulder facing the other team.  distances between teams depends on your choice, we usually set it about 30 yards.  anyway you flip a coin to see who goes first and in turn each team takes a blind shot towards the other team.  by this i mean everyone has their gun pointed down, then when their turn comes they bring their gun and shoot without aiming.  it's quite fun and it also helps you on your game when someone might surprise you and you have to take a blind shot.

I've played both and my personal favorite is Civil War.

The anxiety and anticipation makes is awesome.

But when we play...we aim and can turn to the side.

I was just wondering how some of the games you mentioned are played.  Please tell me about Advantage, Run For It, Free For All, and PTP.  I'm just looking for some different scenario games.

Oy, I have some funny stories from Civil War. One time we were playing at one of my friends houses and only 8 people had the balls to play it cuz the other 14 or so people are just whimps. Well anyway.. we were playing and it was my sides turn to shoot.. so we all raised our guns and the 2 people next to me fired. They hit noone. Then me and my friend Andrew Frank fired, and by coincidence BOTH of our shots hit this one first-timer. And BOTH of our shots hit him in the exact same place--where the sun don't shine. One hit him really low on the sack, and the other hit him about 2 inches higher and to the right. As soon as they hit his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell to his knees and then face-first onto the ground. It was hillarious, but I'm sure he didn't think so.. and I really felt kind of bad. Being his first time.. I don't this left too great of a first-impression on him.. but none the less.. it was hillarious.

civil war sounds fun but like how far do you get from eachother and do you step forward everynow and then??

You start as far apart as you like.. and both sides take a pace forward everytime after your turn.

i always play elimination cuz normally we only have enough players for 2v2 or 3v3. we play hunt the bunny if somone runs out of paint and/or air, and they get a shield cuz the ppl i play with are quacks
