Well, me and my girlfriend(Me being a junior, her being a sopohmore) of
four months just broke up. While we were dating, I brought the
situation of Prom up, and told her that If she wanted to go, all she
had to do was let me know and we would, and she said "OK" and never
said anything else about it which meant she didn't want to go I assumed.
So a few days after I broke up with her, I started dating this girl named Lindsey who is the greatest girl ever, she'll do anything for you and so on...... We'll we started dating four days before Prom, and she was bringing her male-friend to the prom. Well, she couldn't just ditch a guy four days before prom, and I couldn't get a tux and everything four days before prom anyway(and her mom said she couldn't just quit prom because they spent $300 on a dress). Well, of course I was was worried, but she's so nice and innocent(you would jsut have to know her) but I just said that she could go, but please don't even pop-kiss him or anyone else, and don't go to any after-parties which she agreed to. Also, she said she would call me every chance she got....... Well, her dinner reservations were at 7:30 and she told me she would call me after they got done eating and during the prom as well. Well, 11:20 just rolled around and I havn't heard a word, and this isn't like her. I just called my best friend and his cell phone was working fine, so I know cell-phone cervice isn't a problem. I have talked to numerous friends who told me they would keep an eye out and watch her to see if she did anything, and I still havn't heard from any of them. So here I am just sitting, playing guitar, and feeling depressed. It's amazing how close you can become to somebody in 4 days (even though we've been friends for a while). But prom ends at 12:00, so I'm staying up to at least she if she'll call...... Any advice? Edited by Heres To You |

But weve been friends and talking about it forever. Most people who have had a relationship where they really like/love someone can tell you they knew so after a few days. Words cant really explain how great a girl she is, it's the best relationship I've ever been in, which is why I'm worried.... |

Lets pretend we have been dating 8 months, cause that's what it feels like, both of us have said it. I'm more interested in what I should do if she does call after to prom, or calls tomorrow or whatever else anyone can think up. I've got another 30 minutes to burn to prom's over. |

Shes having fun at her prom, and thats what she is supposed to be doing. not worrying about keeping your paranoia level down. How do you know what it feels like if you were dating her for 8 months? You have been going out for 4 days. Just chill out until prom is over. And why couldnt she go to any after parties? You could go with her. |

Thats what I threw in the guitar comment for..... I tried playing Halo for a while, but it's not as fun when all your friends are at prom. On a side note- Has anyone noticed how Halo isn't just for geeks anymore? My best friend (who is our starting Quarterback) plays Halo with me and another good friend almost every night. Oh well........ |

True, but my parents aren't likely to let me leave the house at 12:00 when I havn't even gone to prom. And I'm not saying you havnt, but when your with someone you really like it just feels like you've been with them for so long. So, lets say I chill to prom's over. That gives me a whole 15 minutes more chillin' till I gotta think of something to do..... |

hey just cool down shell be fine if she does anything than she probably isnt the girl you really want. Heck my girlfriend is going to prom with another guy and shes constantly on me and asking if its alright to go to prom with this guy. dont worry everything will probably be fine

And I know what its like to have a g/f that you really like. Me and my g/f were best friends for a year before we decided to go out (of course we liked eachother the whole time.. just never said anything about it) and now we've been going out for 5 months and its awesome. But I know what its like to be in your position because she went to Homecoming with someone else because she had promised him she'd go with him a long time ago. I heard about how much fun she had and I was happy that she did, but I also heard that she was like obsessing over my freakin brother (she dont think hes even good looking now I guess.. she thinks hes a dork again.. it was a "one night thing") and I was TICKED. But it all worked out because I trusted her and held faith in her that she wouldnt do anything with anyone.. so it will be ok..
