Sig Sizes.

In my defense, when I first looked at the size it said 180kb, then it somehow jumped up to 400+. I got a smaller one now....

Im a tad over the size limit, but I dont think anyone really cares that mine is 200x200.

Only once did I go over size limit, and that was my dancing fetus sig.

Shenk hasn't frequented since WOW started, yes? If the other few active mods think it is a problem, they would deal with it how they see fit. That is why they accepted the job.

Yeah, we should help the mods out, they have a hard enough position as it is, etc..........but this is such a minute detail of the forum. If it became a bigger problem, it would be dealt with.

While I'll gladly admit to yelling at the offending parties, you aren't one of them, and I do not mean to sound like I'm including you in the last few paragraphs' ravings.:/Edit:

It doesn't matter which mod is where, rules are rules. If we can't be bothered to obey them, we aren't worth moderating.

Think about it, would you beat off the trolls, move topics for noobs, kill bots, and try to keep this place an all around nice place to hang out(regardless of race, creed, or internet connection) if the "upstanding regulars" can't be bothered to do such simple things as follow a filesize requirement in their sigs? Personally I think its pretty pathetic, and a better testament to this forums problems than anything anyone has brought up so far. The fact that forumers in good standing are doing it, and the majority are willing to let it slide, shows how dishonourable the vast majority here are. What does it matter if theres a rule about something so trivial? Does it hurt you to follow it? No. There are plenty of other cool things out there to rip off that are under the limits. Does it hurt you to break the rule? Yes. It shows disrespect for Tippmann, disrespect for the mods, and disrespect for your fellow forumers.

Its like someone asking you to take your shoes off as you enter their home. Are your shoes going to hurt the carpet? Probably not. Do you do it anyway, because you respect their ownership of their home, and their harmless little rules? Yes.

All rule-book-beating aside, large sigs annoy me personally. Sigs and avatars are supposed to be something to help define you to the people you are speaking whith, not a place to post your own "cool vid of the week". Just make a post linking those things, or better yet, get a geocities site or your own blog and put them there. It wastes my bandwidth and serves me no purpose.

Guess what, I don't come here to see your sigs, or your avatars. The fact that you force these large, annoying wastes of resources on me puts you on the same level as email spammers and pop-up ad writers. How many here hate those, and the people behind them?

If you come here with a grossly huge sig, I put you on the same list of wasteful excuses of human flesh. Fourtunately for most spammers and pop-up(and under) coders, I can't yell at them for it. I can yell at you for it, and will continue to do so until I'm listened to. Its my right as a customer, a forumer, and a user of a (sometimes) free internet. And guess what else? I've got the rules on my side.
