Impulse or Ion?

i was lookin at gettin an Ion but i was readin some reviews on the Impulse and i hear its a really good gun. so i just wanna kno what u guys think. if u guys can give me some advice or experiences i would appreciate it. i have about $300 to $500 to spend i might be able to pull a lil bit more out since my b-day is comin up.

Not really a debate anymore, The Impulse requires upgrades to get it up to Ion performance right out of the box. You're realistically looking and close to $800-900 for the Imp. and $450 for the Ion with upgrades. At least double the price and Imps can be twitchy which is something I haven't seen in the Ion.

No its definitly not a good gun trust me I owned one and I'll never buy another one again. As someone else said the Impulse it really old and out dated. The gun is a unrealiable brick. Theres so many things wrong with it its not funny. The Impy is heavy and unreliable, the reflective eye system is junk and it only works half the time, The max flow is big and outdated, the ball detents just pop out at any random time, you need a LPR because even when the pressure is regulated the pressure is still to high for the cheap ghetto rigged solnoid, it needs a million upgrades to work, it needs a new feedneck,new trigger, new ball detents every week, a new board, a LPR, all new internals..the gun is just a POS end of story.

Meh whatever but it definitly has enough problems to be considered a POS.

Another marker to consider in the Ion price range would be the '04 B2K w/ PDS.

 

pff yea right the B2K is better then the ION and the Impulse. Its fast, small pretty light, has a way better eye system, comes with a three way adustable trigger, and its more reliable.

The Impulse is heavy and slow, has a sloppy trigger pull, a trashy eye system and its an unreliable brick. The Ion is much better. You'll have a reg that constantly leaks,hoses that constantly blow and other random problem. The B2k is alot better then the Impulse and ION.

Pay no attention to this guys posts when it has anything to do with Smart Parts, go with the Ion.
