Playing a bit of screwball, I rolled through a patch of poison ivy...I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt...now my entire bicep region is freakishly bubbly looking...theres poison ivy all the way down to my hand...and theres some on my back...and my neck...I must be algeric to poison ivy...last year, the same place on my arm was completely raw, oozing...grosstastic....

Luckily, my girlfriend won't be back from Iowa for a week...so I wrapped it in duct tape, desperate for a cure....gah...I hope it clears up...

No pics, I'm at my cousins for a week or so, and he doesnt have a digital camera

I heard in the thread about this last week that rubbing more posion oak on your body cures you faster because it spreads the rash thinner.

Poison Ivy, too.

It works very well on planter's warts (not that I've had one in years, but a few friends swear it works)...I tried windex...stung...I'm desperate, but it seems to be helping a bit...

I hear starting fluid is increulusly effective, but I don't have any...

p.s...
The itching is almost non-existant...but my skin is seriously starting to disapear...and its all oozy...icky...

I got a bad case of it after a Red Dawn II scernario game last month.  Thought I was gonna die.    Benadryl and Calamine lotion helps alot though.

Do you have a freaking stuffed nose or poison ivy!?!

Go find some Benadryl NOW.  Its OTC, you should have some in the house or some at the nearest store.

Drink Benadryl like Hitch does, the itching will go away in like an hour, or at least it did in the movie

gah...confession time...I tried searing the rash with a straightening iron for hair (my cousin's) but I couldn't fit it on my swollen arm...so I tried drying out the rash with a blowdryer...then I tried a cold pack to reduce the swelling....I really should just get some meds...

Does Benadryl reduce the rash or just the itching?
