    Posted: 02 August 2005 at 5:28pm

I just got My Tippmann A-5 about 3 months ago and I have done mod to it every thing were working fine until a few weeks ago, the trigger isn’t returning right, I have a Tippmann double trigger and I can fire once or twice with out it not returning but once I have pulled the trigger a few times its like it dose not return in place. I have to tap the trigger to the side or give it a tap at the back of the trigger to get it back in place, or if I just tap the trigger will I am firing really fast it will for a while. But Once I have tapped it into place you can hear it click (like its back into place). Dose anyone know why it would be doing this. Could it be the drive spring? Or is there something wrong with the rear bolt?

Another thing is I just got my Collapsible Stock –its Tippmann made. But when I put it on nothing seams to work. I have to cock it every time it try to fire and push the cyclone to make it fire. This only happens when I put the stock on though any help?

The drive spring is the smaller but stronger one??

And the cocking handle spring is the long skinny one???

Thanks

Dan

you have the springs right. longer skinny one is the cocking spring. smaller fatter one is the drive spring.

It sounds like something is wrong with your trigger but I don't know what. Try taking it to a proshop and let them examine it.

do you still have the stock trigger? put it back in and see it that changes anything.

ok, check this out...this is just off the top of my head so here it goes...

take the trigger apart, it getting caught on something. i think the sear and the trigger are getting snagged somehow. your double trigger should have a silver metal piece on it thats held in by a small rod. the silver metal piece it what trips the sear when you pull the trigger. make sure its ok.

you said you have done alot of mods to it. what kind of mods? are these trigger mods? which ones if so.

as far as the stock problem goes,
i am going to assume that you have the drive pin and drive spring all in place properly, if not, then go fix it. is there an oring? it might go aound the end of the stock that goes into the gun. look for a slot for it. make sure its there and is ok. if theres no slot, then the oring just sits inside the marker, inbetween the valve and the stock, for padding and sealing. its not stayinf cocked because theres not enough pressure on the spring. try adding a copper bb or two, into the stock end where the drive pin would go, theres a little hole there. then put the pin and spring back on.

I didn’t mean a lot of mods just a few. Um I look in side and it doesn’t look like any thing is caught on any thing. But the bbs did work on the stock thanks... any one else know what to do for the trigger??

Maybe stretch out the spring and make sure the drive spring and cocking spring are in the correct places.  If that doesnt help then take to the proshop.
