I am sorry but if a user is unable to prevent a windows crashes I am not sure if the would have the skill to use Linux.

I dont know what you people are doing to or with your computers but I cant recall Windows ever crashing on my home pcs.

Linux isnt too difficult. I found it a bit intuitive. For me it took patience and just researching any problems i had.

Meh. Its a huge corporation. Who cares that billgates has more money than god.( He does, currently his bank account is bigger than that of the vatican)

There are plenty of corporations that are more evil. Like oil companies that kill baby seals or whatever.

Linux can get viruses, its just that no one writes viruses for linux.

And I can't say my computer gives me any trouble. If windows acts up, there's a few things one can do to try and fix it, but I usually just to "to hell with it" and reformat.

Ref: I want a nice clean game
player: but it's paintball!

This is an example of misinformation that really burns my ass.

ANY Unix-based system (BSD, Linux, OS X) is a million times more secure than a Windows system, even if there were lots of viruses written for those Unix systems. A functional permissions system plus fewer loopholes elsewhere does wonders.

Amen. Get some good anti virus, a good firewall, some anti spyware and back up your computer every few months.
