Trust me, as someone who has went through the process, if he wants in, he'll get in.
The recruiters job is to get you into boot camp, and they will push hell or high water up until your actually in. I've had broken fingers, tailbone, and a couple more that I was delibrately told to "forget" that are registered medical visits.
I still made it through my check.
If he wants in, he'll get in.
