edit- Actually, what works better is to go take a walk in the woods or a park or something. For me, when I'm outside, I tend to forget about what's going on in "the real world". It's not trying to escape from the problem, becuase usually when I'm done taking my walk, I feel more relaxed and ready to deal with whatever's bothering me.
