A-5 and air questions

Hi im new to paintball and have just picked up a A-5 and have a few
questions about it. First off im using a remote to a xchamber to a vertical
adapter with co2(I went with co2 because I can get a 25lb tank for $12). I
also have a flatline barrel installed. I have the e-grip with the WAS board.
These are all new products.

1)I have never adjusted the fps on the gun and was wondering what the
factory fps is? My cousins Custom 98 stock shoots just as far as my
flatlline.

2)Do I have to turn it up since Im using a remote and xchamber? Does
that lower the fps?

3)Lastly I noticed that when I fire a little bit of air comes out of the area
that you turn up the fps, is that right or maybe because its all the way
down set by the factory?

4)What paintballs do you guys recommend with the flatline? Ive heard Evil
are good and I have shot 300 Big Balls with no problems other then it
curving at the end.

It sounds like you stated your FPS(velocity adjuster or VA) is all the way in. If this is true , this is probably why your cousins 98C is shooting as far as you. He would have to arch his shots to reach what your Flatline can reach under normal operating peramiters. But as Rambino stated above, a cronograph is needed to set your marker up correctly - velocity wise.

Yup. Ram basicly covered it. So in a nutshell, the factory doesn't set it to a certain number, you have to do it yourself. And you should always check your velocity each time you play.

sometimes the store you bought it from (if you went to a pro-shop) will set the velocity for you.

for example, someone i played with had there gun adjusted when they bought it.

a week later they took it to the field at it was still 250, on the dot (thats my fields limit).
