ok, hpa: well, you have your size tanks is ci and your psi. 3000,4500 and5000 are psi, the standard is about 68/4500. umm, hpa is really consistent, make sure the psi output is high pressure(800psi). to get how many shots out of a tank, take the ci times 10for 3000,15for 4500, 20 for 5000 |

Aight. Hopefully, my next few paragraphs will have you understanding everything about the numbers concerned with HPA tanks. First off, there are three numbers you have to worry about, which I will explain in the next 3 paraghraphs.... 1. First off, theres the size of the tank, usually in CI for Cubic Inches, or CU for Cubis Units (which are both the same thing here). So in the tank description, they'll usually list the CU of the tank, then the internal pressure of the tank (next paragraph). So, it might be 68/whatever, or 45/whatever. The first number being the size of the tank, in CU's. The bigger the tank meaning the more shots per tnak you'll get. 2. The next number you need to know is the internal pressure of the tank, usually either 3000 psi, 4500 psi, and sometimes 5000 psi. Like said above, it's usually the 2nd number in the x/y description (x being the size of the tank, y being the internal pressure of the tank). So you might have a 68/4500 tank, which is 68 CU's, and has an internal pressure of 4500 psi. The higher the internal pressure of the tank, the more shots per tank you're going to be able to get. 3. The third and final number you need to know is the output pressure of the tank. See, every HPA tank has a regulator on it, which take the internal pressure of the tank down to the specified output pressure. Tanks comes in two output pressures, 450 psi, or 850 psi. You'll want a 850 psi output (aka a High Output, compared to the 450 psi output which is aka a low output) tank for yor gun(s). Hope I helped. And the average size tank is 68/4500. |

Shoot, have you actually tried that? If I walked up to someone at the Fire Station and asked them to fill my Dive Tank, or Paintball tank from their cascade system they would laugh me out the door. |

True, but a lack of a good output is more troubling. |

very true. The liability and the time needed to do it would keep most departments from doing it. what connections are needed to use a scba fill compressor btw? I have access to one. I can fill up to 4500 psi. I would assume the fittings might be the same. |

what fittings do you use? does it attach directly to the scba fill station? i would buy an hpa tank if it would directly bolt up. |
