We need a revival

that's right, i said it. this place is becoming stale with the same old arguments and petty quarrels. i think we need some new policy, especially regarding mods and other rules defining accounts.

for starters, i understand that still, not everyone has broadband but for the majority of us who do, how about we allow some larger file sizes in sigs? honestly, if you are still on dialup you need to get with the program here.

mods, it's become a great annoyance at how many mods we have and that something like what happened to cedric can happen without any warning. that a mod who has been dormant for quite a while suddenly comes out of the woodwork and vandalizes someone's account for no good reason. and then fails to inform people it has happened, allowing others to make assumptions and blame the wrong people. it's a trend here among the mods, it has happened for a long time, i can remember mods not owning up to their punishments back when i was a troublemaker.

so for a solution, how about the mods need to be more active to keep their stars? no offense to anyone, and i will not name people, but if you haven't posted in a good while, why are you still a mod? and for the active mods i thank you (hway, reb, rambs, god, ruska, shorty and enos) for giving half a crap to frequent this place and make it better.

maybe i just needed to vent, or maybe we really do need a change here. not like we need a totall rewrite of all the rules, but we could sure use some redefining. no, i don't mean like the krl days again but at least we had order back then...

but they can deactivate accounts. come on ywsm, put your thinking cap on.

I agree with HV. But, just for the uninformed, what was the whole Cedric thing about?

I was just discussing whether or not he acted in policy, and whether or not it needed changes.

Things are fine the way they are, if a mod feels something needsw to be done but doesnt want to come out and say it was him thats fine with me. Even if he would have come right out there would have been Cedrics little possie demanding his post count back and whining about the man putting them down.

I agree that the forums have become rather stale, but I'm not really sure shuffling the mods around would do anything.

I'm also curious as to what specific event spurred EE to nuke Cedric. Sure, he's been a punk, he's probably done enough to warrant getting booted, but what specifically pushed him over the edge?

I agree with HV that this place is getting weak. It doesnt have the family feel it once did. Lets not turn this into a debate about the legitamacy of what happened to Cedric and why, the mods are slugging that one out, us debating it just adds fuel to the fire and angers even more people.
