The least expensive and top of the line oil is air tool oil...available in any auto parts store. |

what about regular gun oil from the sporting goods store, the kind they sell for rifles and such... its like 3 bux for a can of that stuff...

Just make sure you buy Hoppes OIL, not Hoppes SOLVENT. |

i believe that gun oil will damage the o-rings. and also its not made for air guns. you want oil that is made for air guns. synthetic oil. |

And you would be incorrect. In my dealings directly with Tippmann, I have been sent, on two occasions, sample containers of Hoppe's oil with which to lubricate my 98C. |

Paintball guns just need the type of oil that is generically referred to as "3 in 1 oil" Hoppes #9 is just that type of oil. It will lubricate the moving parts, it will protect the steel parts from rusting, and it won't eat your o-rings. Hence, it is ideal for your Tippmann marker.
