okay, i already have a bone stock 04 vert cocker and a bone stock rainmaker. I also have about 200 dollars to blow. now, ive always wanted to play pump paintball, but dont particularly want to buy a phantom. and i love taking older guns and making them rip. so what to do first? here's a final rundown on planned out parts in my pricerange. I'd go with the Sniper. SCP is the bomb and I'm so glad I play. It's much more challenging imo, and it helps with other types of play. Once you get some more money, you can up the RM and when you play, you'll dominate due to your SCP experience

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

put a pump kit on the rm.... lol... actually don't, the rm wouldn't make a great pump marker due to it's weight. i'd go with the sniper... it will make you a better player.... and you'll get the most out of your rm due to stock experiance... |

heh. yeah, ive seen the pump kit. on a lighter, sadder note, i took the rainmaker, along with the cocker, to the field today, and was stuck using the cocker. the rainmaker has a sad, desperate leak, and when it vents, it gives off this noise. it sounds so sad... anyway, im still trying to see what rainman can do for me. hes to rainmakers as doc nickel is to cockers... so far, its all walls and barricades to most suggestions. anyway, im probably gonna order the pump kit for the cocker soon. If you REALLY do not want a Phantom I would suggest the cocker. With around 200 you could go on ebay or the Phantom Owners Group and get a nice used Phantom. While the rainmaker represents a long time ago, so does playing pump and stock class. Not only will you be able to find parts easier for a cocker, you can go semi or pump with it.
I am considering selling my Phantom and semis and getting a nice cocker and pump kit, as a way to condense my marker collection and make the gear bag a bit lighter. I think the CCM pump kits looks nicer than the WWA ones, but they also cost more. |
