I agree. The pharmecutical (or however you spell that) companies will make so muchmoney off of stem cell research once they get medicine and stuff that works from it. Why should the feds fund it?

Because it is beneficial to the citizens. Doing research on stem cells will take a long time and a vast amount of money that pharm companies aren't willing to spend right now because it is not beneficial to them. With the goverment pushing the science advancement rather than the market it will get to the citizens much faster than if we were to just allow the free market to take control.

do you know where the embryonic stem cells come from?  they come from fertility clinics.  Do you realize how much of an over abundance of pre-fertilized eggs these places have.  You know what they do with the supply that is unused?  They burn them.  Throw them in an incinerator more or less.  ZOMG ABORTION!!!!


Embryonic stem cell research would be doing fertility clinics a huge favor by taking extra fertilized eggs.  I'm willing to bet millions of people would be willing to donate the extra donor samples that they might have. 

Bush's refusal to allow the amount of funds needed from the gov't have greatly cut the amount of usable stem cell lines.  The private funding that embryonic stem cell research is getting is certainly not a small amount of money but it's not enough for the extensive research that is needed.

Well #1 the Confederecy just decided to stop fighting. We could have taken into the mountains and turned it into a guerilla war.

#2 If I could not have kids naturally, aka God's way, I would accept that it is not ment to be, it is part of God's plan. I would not use some crazy science that makes crazy psycho children.

Hey man I just look at it as just part of the slippery slope.

Look at how America has gotten since we started doing all this crap with science making kids in tubes, started teaching evolution as fact in the classroom, quit letting kids pray anywhere.

Look at what we have, we are interrupting God's plan and we are starting to pay for it.
