...like, the 150mil one, what would you spend it on? I personally would pay for both my and my fiancee's college, then spend about 10k on an uber comp/entertainment center, then build my dream house in the back of 10 or 15 acres, then pay off my grandparents house and/or just buy them a cabin by the lake they go to every weekend and give them enough to retire on, then start a paintball field/proshop, then buy my girl whatever car she wanted, then buy these four vehicles:
![]() The Caddy XLR for everyday driving. (Yes I ripped it off Whale) ![]() The Bugatti Veyron, just for fun. (or maybe some other super car...I don't know...) ![]() The GMC Canyon, for work and/or off-roadin...Prolly in black. ![]() And some sort of ticked off sport bike, again, just for fun. Then, I'd probably get whatever other neat toys I want (uber smartphone, ect) to finish out my spend fest. After that I'd donate a couple million to various charities/schools/political campaigns and invest the rest for the future, probably a mix between real estate and stocks. How 'bout you? ps I realize that I posted car pics, but feel free to include pic of any kind of expensive stuff in you spending plan...lol...I am so materialistic... ![]() Edited by .Ryan - 29 July 2006 at 9:30am |

Colorado mountain top cabin in Allen's park. Z06 Corvette, 1980 Chevy K5 blazer lifted 11 or so inches with 38 inch super swamper boggers, a 2006 Polaris Scrambler 500 H.O. 4X4. Invest the rest in Berkshire Hathaway. Oh yea and buy all the availible property in the mountains in Colorado.

I'd buy 50 million more lotto tickets, and invest the rest. Repeat every time I win something.

You know what it is don't you? I thought for sure Ryan that you would know! Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKa, NYSE: BRKb) is a company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, that oversees and manages a number of subsidiary companies. Berkshire Hathaway's core business is insurance, including underwriting of property and casualty insurance, reinsurance and specialty nonstandard insurance. The company is controlled by Warren Buffett, who is one of the most celebrated investors in history and is currently the second-richest man in the world according to Forbes magazine. Buffett has used the "float" provided by Berkshire Hathaway's insurance operations (a policyholder's money which it holds temporarily and is allowed to invest for its own profit) to finance his investment schemes. In the early part of his career at Berkshire these focused on long-term investments in publicly quoted stocks, but more recently Berkshire has purchased a diverse range of non-insurance businesses including candy production and sales at retail, newspaper publishing, retailing of home furnishings, sales of encyclopedias, sales of home cleaning units, manufacture and distribution of uniforms, retail jewelry, and manufacture, import and distribution of footwear. The Company averaged a phenomenal 25%+ annual return to its shareholders for the last 25 years while employing large amounts of capital. Berkshire has identified utility as its next big area of investment. In 2005, Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935 was repealed; this allowed utility investors such as Berkshire to have more control over their investments. Thank you Wikipedia. |

Hmm...that actually sounds like a good system...I wonder why no one has tried that before...
How and I'd also like to add a nice vacation home in Southern France, and a custom made motorcycle like the one from Akira to my list. Like this one: ![]() But more true to the original design (bigger mainly), but maybe painted black. I'd also have a kick arse nav system there in the front...that would make it awsome for road trips...I bet you could inclose it too...But uh yeah, nevermind...not gonna highjack my own thread...back to the lotto spending! Edit: Barn, sorry to disappoint, but hey I learned something.... Interesting idea, I'd diversify if I were you though..... Edited by .Ryan - 29 July 2006 at 10:18am |

But office space jokes aside, I'd probably buy a lot of cool camcorrders, G5s, and then make some awesome movie. |

I'd probably spend like $50 million on a nice car, house and parents a
house. After that the rest would be invested or put in the bank.

as dumb as it sounds, i would just take a million or two and give the rest away. mabye charitys or some foundation or something, for some reason i dont like the thought of having that much money...it changes a lot of stuff, friends, family, id rather just take what i need, help out any friends who are in any kind of trouble, and give the rest away.
