Hollywood..

Why is hollywood making more and more crappy movies. When was the last time a real good war movie was out? Kingdom of Heaven was the last decent one. It seems like they make nothing useful. They make 9/11 movies that I believe personally are to soon. Now they have one with snakes on an airplane? What idiot came up with that idea? I dont see any war movies about Iraq or Afghanistan being made. Unless Ive missed something. I'm pretty sure during ww2 they made movies about it. Or at least after the war I know they definatly did. Why not anything about the Fallujah offensive? Or the assault in Afghanistan? I just think hollywood needs to make a real war movie. Who cares about Snakes on Planes!? Its like a bad Anaconda remake on an airplane.

They say Snakes on a Plane will wind up being a cult movie.

But yeah, I agree. A good war movie is definately in order.

An Afghanistan or Iraq movie would kick ass, for sure, but it's still too politically loaded. At least Iraq, anyways...

Yeah. But you know, im not satisfied with a lot of movies. They lack art. Seeing a huge battle with everything going on, thats not art. Movies like, Band Of Brothers, Boondock Saints, they had violence, but they also had cinematic value, art, emotion. They had a point. The LOTR movies, as much i hated the acting and the dorked out story line, the battles were emense, they were artfuly done, with huge sweeping landscapes and beautiful pans spanning for miles.

The art in hollywood is dying, and it has been for a long time. Tarantino is burning out, there are some hangers on, but its deffinatly not looking good.

but snakes on a plane isn't even out yet, but they have all this merch everywhere...  i mean "Snakes on a Sudoku"? come on!

nah, its not really if you think about it. your comparing 3000+ people killed in one fell swoop with heroism and combating the biggest fear of americans

exactly, that was the propaganda they wanted people to see. cant do that now though, media would take all that away with a simple news cast. cant hurt to make a movie like that with iraqi/afganastani insurgents
