I just find it odd that there are so many on the left who want the 9/11 movie pulled. Only reason is the supposed questionable portrayal of the actions of thier hero Clinton. These are the same people who cried foul when the "truth" about Reagan in another simular movie was pulled from the networks (CBS) and put on pay per view. That portrayal was not "truthfull" per the Reagan camp, but to censor that piece from the american public, was un-american per the dems of that period.

Got to love polarized politics

They added "crap" to the movie to make it more... "suspenseful" so families got pissed....I think the whole 9\11 thing is a joke.... now they want most of our taxes to goto a memorial..I personally believe we should let it die and stop bringing it up.. Bush won't allow that though... I still remember a interview that was funny "Why are we in Iraq Bush?" (Bush) "Because of 9\11 the horrors and ladaladlda" "What does that have to do with Iraq as a country..?" (Bush) ".....nothing.."
The other funny stuff is the OIL business... "Bush what is your take on the oil? Are we there FOR their oil" (Bush) "What oil? What are you talking about!?"

laughing at bush is old, the new thing is to insult members of congress.

as for the movie, let people make whatever they want. censoring the media is a violation of their right to broadcast whatever they wish. i watch standup comics who definitely insult or offend other people, but you know what, those people don't have them removed from the air, they just don't watch it...

I could be mistaken but it may be the 9/11 movie on ABC tonight. But I wont watch the one you are talking about with Cage either. Actually this ABC one is the only one I will watch. I refused to watch 93 as well.

As for letting it die. I dont recall us letting Pearl Harbor Die. That was a huge day in our history. As was 9/11.

That was one of the defining moments in the history of this nation. That
SHOULD have been the untimate wake-up call.

I am just amazed how many people hit the snooze button and went right
back to sleep in the post-9/11 era.

We were called out as a nation, as a people, and as a culture, and an
alarming segment of the country just wants to "forget it".

The body count made Pearl Harbor look like a traffic accident. Their
crimes? Going to work or taking a commercial flight.

Like it or not, we ARE at war. It is a war where our enemy has no borders,
no uniform, and their only purpose is very, very simple: we convert to
their image of Islam, or we die at their hands.

Period.

Anyone too ingorant or cowardly to recognize this and make a stand
deserves to be blown up or beheaded be some fundamental Islamic
fascist.

Complacency and apathy are just as dangerous as a 9/11-style attack.

Don't believe it now?

Don't worry, you WILL.

Problem is, it may be too late by the time you wake up to reality.
If I attack, follow me

If I flee, kill me

If I die, avenge me

9/11 is a joke? So you think over 3000 people dead is funny? Or do you just not care that millions of people had there lives tragically effected that day? I can tell you minute by minute what I was doing on 9/11 from helping a fried try and contact his dad in the pentagon to trying to call my own that was somewhere in the city at the time. I remember finding out that my uncle (NYPD) luckily wasn't on scene until after both buildings had come down. You think that day is a joke to me? Do you think it is a joke to the kids that lost there fathers or mothers or the men and women serving in our military to try and make this world safer so that we never have to go through that again? Do you think it's a joke to them?

Have you ever been to the halocaust museum? Have you ever been to Washington D.C. and looked at the various memorials there? Ever seen the Vietnam memorial or the WWII memorial? Ever been to Pearl Harbor? These places are hallowed ground. There a place to remember those who have passed, to honor those who came before us, and to look to the future in hopes that such things may never come again. If you've never been to one of these places I suggest you go. Stand there and read the names, learn a little about them, and try to imagine what they went through and what there families went through. Do some soul searching and then see if you don't believe it's important.

What interview was that? Do you have any idea how much money we are spending every day being in Iraq? Do you know how much oil we would have to steal to balance out the expense? Based on the intellegence availible at the time we made the right decision. Based on the intellegence availible now we may not have. Looking at it from a moral and humanitarian aspect we did the right thing. But of course the media doesn't like to talk about things that went well. They don't make for entertaining television. The media likes to make things sound bad, make them all scarey like the world is gonna end. Thats what makes good t.v.. Don't believe the media. They have there own agenda and it's far from it's original purpose.

i won't see it in theaters... nor will i personally pay to rent it.  IMO it's too soon for people to be making millions off dollars off this event.  Yes, it was a terrrible event, yes, it was our generation's "pearl harbor", but it should NOT be commercialized (spelling??).  I refuse to buy any "patriotic" american fanboy stuff, magnets, flags... whatever.  You don't need magnetic ribbons plastered over the back of your car to let someone know you are a proud american.

Folks, the movie is the TV movie, "The Path to 9/11" on ABC tonight that is creating the issue here. The Clinton camp wanted it pulled, but yet the same folks stated that pulling the Reagan Documentary on CBS a few years back would be censorship. Depends on who the target of the "falsehoods" are.

I hate all my teachers this year and my school because they literaly force me and all the other students to believe the wars bad, we are there for oil nothing else. This year for english I have to read a bunch of anti-war books which is bs. I have no choice in the selection i'm reading and i'm forced to read things opposite of my beliefs. Im failing english right now because I hate reading the book and rarely even pick it up.

Theres nothing wrong with reading or listening to arguments against your own standpoint. Its the best way to test and strengthen your reslove in that standpoint. I don't believe teachers should be professing there opinion and views as seems to be the case (and i've had to deal with that too) but you just have to kind of go with it. When you write the essays or discuss the books thats when you get to let your view shine. I've done that to teachers and actually gotten a better grade because of it. Depending on what grade your in you can also discuss it with the teacher or have your parents try and talk to the teacher. They shouldn't be using there position to preach.

Or maybe you're failing English because you refuse to see any point of books that may differ from your original opinion. Or maybe some people are just tired of seeing the same images for the past 5 years only to have report after report on every channel deal with 9-11, almost as if there is no other news going on. No one will forget it, and no one wants to relive it. However, I don't see us with hundreds of news reports and docudramas about the 50,000 Americans killed every year in car accidents. Not to mention other diseases and so on...

Actually, since the Repliclicans managed to get the Regan Documentary pulled, I can see why the  Clinton camp would like this pulled as well. They can say that if it's alright for the Regan movie to get pulled then it's ok for the 9/11 film to be pulled.

The differance here being that Regan was unable to defend himself at the time while clinton's camp is still alive and in as good of mental health as they ever were. After seeing the Regan film I found the outrage over it to be overrated, no doubt this will be as well. The Regan film didn't portray Regan as evil, just a charismatic, somewhat naive puppet. However it did rip nancy a new rectum.

Well I just seen the fist half of "the path to 9/11". It was really good. There was alot there that is not often told. It did make Clinton look bad...but this is one side of the story not often told. As a side note I seen Untied 93 last night. The movie was very well done. If you havnt seen it I suggest you do.

Meh....I just think it's annoying how we keep bringing 9\11 up... I am a pretty big republican but I believe the Iraq business as well is quite over-done....This can be debated in multiple forms, there are people who SUPPORT the troops and BELIEVE they are actually doing things down there, and then there are people like ME who believe that they are down there for almost no reason as of right now, about two years ago, yeah, they had a purpose, there was a major tyrant and he was <poopy> crazy. Now though...I don't believe that we should be on their land....And Bush (Who at first I respected) is a complete idiot if you actually LISTEN to his interviews it shows.. I personally believe he is basically D*ck's puppet...And Wings, I'm smart enough not to rely alone on the U.S. Media.. come on they sugar-coat crap constantly, I normally pay attention to International News which is much MUCH more informative. And on account of the memorials... I've been to quite a few, and I honostly believe we should move on. For atleast another.... fifteen years, everyone is going to bring up 9\11 on September 11th...I just get flat out tired of it. And the stuff that I quoted bush on he DID say, If you look around those interviews are still on Youtube.
