well i bought my ion for 150 bucks...i only have a new trigger and a new feedneck on it...I dont know why but im not happy with it, i have always wanted an icd promaster but i couldnt pass up buying an ion for 150 bucks. Now i do still want a promaster but its i think 450 bucks...i dont want the 250 doller one. I dont like selling my guns but i dont know i might just sell my ion.
Unless i can be happy with it. Now im just confused, should i just sell my ion or keep it and see if i can be happy with it?
anyway sorry if this was stupid but ya...

I say play with your Ion for a while and in the time save for the promaster. That's what I'm doing.
Thinking about it...

I am guessing this is your first gun in the mid-high end area. Don't expect a gun that cost a fraction of the price of a brand new angel or ego to perform like the top dollar guns. It is a well built gun that can take a beating.

Option A:  Sell it... of course then you are stuck without a marker until you buy a new one.   And if you don't have the money to buy what you want, you are stuck.

Option B:  Keep it... play with it until you get within $100 of the marker you want, then sell or trade the Ion, add your cash and you have your new marker.

Thats about it...

I know what exactly what your going threw... I went threw "this problem" with my old E98c. It's a great marker there is just "somthing" about it that doesn't click with you.

Put it this way, I went threw 2 Impulses, a E-cocker, a A5, and then I ended up right back where I was, except... Its' not nearly as customized as my E98c was...

My Strong Advise is to go to your local Proshop and just "Feel" some markers... Then look around to what you like... Ions are... diffrent, I went paintballing a few weeks ago and litterly 6 out of the 10 kids on my Team had Ions, and all of them were basically stock, infact in the end a few kids ended up playing with each others markers on Accident....

If your looking for a Decent marker that No one really Has and are under $400, look at these ones.

Those are just some ideas.  Or you could buy somthing like a 04' Cocker($189(BNIB)) and just build it... or you cna litterly build a cocker from the ground up.

Keep it for awhile. Look for upgrades that appeal to you and can make it different from everyone elses. Play with it for awhile and if you still dont like it, you can sell it and begin to save for a PM.

man your 100% correct. when i first held the ion i felt like i could break it in my hands...a month later i heald it again and it felt good....after playing with it for months now, im just not satisfied with the whole gun. I was originally going to get a cocker but...i just dont want one anymore...so i dont think ill upgrade my ion anymore...ill save for a marker i really want...

Make darn sure you know exactly what you want next time, especially before
making any drastic moves ...

i got an ion, and it is my first mid/high end marker. before that i used a scratched up-paintpeeled-m98. i dont think ill ever upgrade. i'm fine with the stock one. 17 bps is fine for me! in your situation, i would just use the stock ion, and save up for what you really want; take some time to think about what kind of gun you want before you buy one. but for now... the ion is good enough i think

P.S.- I went to an amateur tournament at the local field by me and i swear, 65% of the people had ions. lol

Get a ProMaster man.  And why do you say you dont want the $250 ones?  They are just the same as the $370 ones.  THey had a price drop and not everywhere has changed the prices yet.

Promasters are way better guns than ions.  They come stock with a QEV (Ions dont), faster board (uncapped) really nice trigger (Some of my freinds pay $40 for a new trigger for their ion and still like my stock promaster trigger better)  One of my freinds's ion stock trigger actually broke in half while playing.  They are a little lighter and just all around better guns.
