So, I was looking throuh iTunes and the window that says thier is updated software avaliable for me to download pops up, so I clicked download. I unplug it to find everyone of my songs erased, and when I plug it back in it won't show up as a source on iTunes. Help?

Reformat your iPod using the disk that it came with.

Honestly, that is the answer I was expecting to get.

Edit: Alright that worked, thanks.

It's oh so true though, Zens beat the crap outta Ipods. Software reliability and device reliability is supreme in the ZEN compared to IPOD.

One more thing you are wrong about.

I am going to make a list one of these days.

It figures he likes Zen. He seems like the average Zen user. Jealous they did not pick the superior product.

I have two Ipods.... a Nano and a Shuffle.. I used to have the the 20GB (orignal non-color). Then I found the Zen Microphoto....I like it alot better, it dosen't freeze up on me, software transfers are a breeze (Creative has their own software called Media Explorer which never really crashes) and of course, Creative knows music, hopefully everyone here knows the most popular.. and almost only PCI\PCI-E soundcard out there right? Sound-Blaster...made by Creative.

Anyway, Apple loves will be Apple lovers and most people that keep saying the Apple is awesome, haven't tried out Creative's ZEN line. The only two Zens I truely like though are... Zen Vision M, and Microphoto, which are both simply stunning.

And Tae...we all know you seem to have a "thing" for Apple. But I would also like to know how the Ipod beats the Zen Vison M? It's cheaper, comes with MORE stuff, has MORE colors and also plays multiple types of videos.. they don't have to be "Ipod Videos" like on the Ipod.

And also.. Tae, HV should not have to cap something for you.

file format compatibility is possibly the largest reason i went with a vision, aside from the screen size and quality/resolution.

I am gonna have to agree with reov on this one unfortunatly. Ive had an ipod for several years, and it was expensive in the first place(was a gift though) compared to most zens, it completely died, and they charged me 40 bucks to send me a new one..........my brother was in ireland for a music competition and he picked up an 8gig microphoto for a killer price, and its awesome, cheap, realiable, more features(microphone, fm radio), plus the fact that all apple accesories(sp) are so overpriced that it is not even funny, i mean hell, those prices are insane.........

creative ftw
apple ftl

If you can make an iPod freeze up...That is impressive my friend.

I have had no issues with transfers. Converting files takes all of no time. Never once had iTunes crash. I love having Apple's support and customer service behind it too.

I have used a Zen. I thought they were ugly and clunky. Made me love my iPod that much more.

my ipod just died, reset didnt work, just died, and they charged me a ton to fix their broken thing.......thats true, i havent had problems with itunes cept that its really slow sometimes, and they do have FAST and EASY customer service if not reasonably priced.......

my brothers microphoto is so sexy, its tiny and sleek, looks better than the new nanos-those are too thin, id lose it in my pants, and wash it, like my friend did......
