Whats a better bolt for an A-5 to get after the stock? Im thinking about getting one after all the great reviews ive seen on increased accuracy and efficiency.

Stock internals are usually best for Tippmanns, but I've heard a lot of good things about the Rufus Dawg Wicked bolt. It's supposed to work wonders with brittle paint. That is the only aftermarket bolt I would reccomend. |

If you can get a hold of the "older bolt" not the updated one. The one without the insert. It's better IMO. Because i got the updated bolt and slaped it on my A-5 and It goes into fully auto. |

Are you retarded? You just said that the old bolt makes your gun go "Fully auto" so you must be. Wow.. the things people say. Moving on from A5Kings stupid comment... You do not want to go back to an "old" bolt there is a reason they are "updated". Very few bolts will make improvements, I use the JCS Hexagon Derlin Front Bolt which I like a little bit better than my stock one. I would recommend either.. 1. JCS Hexagon Derlin Front-Bolt 2. Shocktech Supafly 3. Wicked Bolt (Hear it's b.s. though) Those are the only three I have heard much about, I have experiance and know the JCS one is an improvement over the stock, however I hear the Supafly Bolt is great, and I hear the Wicked Venturi Bolt is basically crap, by that I mean it does nothing. |

i was wondering why they made the new design too. it looks more modular, like where you could replace that plastic thing with something else... for some reason

I have no clue what you mean by 'it goes into fully auto' I assume you mean your a5 shoots full auto. In that case you made your a5 into a blender. |

I think this is a mix up of bolts. A5king I believe is talking about the rear bolt while everyone else is talking about the front bolt.

Hoboman, What I ment by fully auto is that, it does the same effect when you run out of co2. do you understand now? yea, I was refering to the rear bolt. But it still doesn't give Mr. Dumb ass the right to just call someone retarted..

i cant say for sure but theres only one reason i can think of that a front bolt would do that and that's that you put your detent in backwards while installing it. not trying to accuse you of anything it's just a guess.

Once again, I am going to call you a retard. First of all, the guy is asking about "NEW" bolts, aka buying a new front-bolt you don't buy new rear-bolts unless they are replacements. Second, I don't see how an old rear-bolt is making your go into fully auto, if it is, that can't be good. Same effect can be achieved by wearing down your sear. Either way, what you did, can't be good for the gun. And how are you calling me a dumb ass when you put a rear-bolt, that Tippmann updated for a reason, into your gun? First off, I don't see how your gun if field legal. Second, why are you recommending something that Tippmann would most likely say is not good for the gun? After all there is a reason they fixed that. And lastly, I can almost promise you I know more about the A-5 than you do. I'm not going to do an all out battle-royal, I'll just say that I know I do :). Key reasons to calling you a retard.... He was asking about aftermarket front-bolt upgrades, there are NO new rear-bolt upgrades atsept for the Titanium Dark Horizon one. You told him something that he just simply shouldn't do to his gun. Also, because we were all talking about front-bolts, you come along and say replaceing the bolt with an old one achieves fully auto, you did not clarify that it was the REAR BOLT, BIG reason there. Have a nice day (^_^) Edited by Davy Jones - 29 October 2006 at 1:48am |
