I was having a discussion about guns 'n stuff today. My co-discussor declared herself so anti-gun that she had a bumpersticker that read "if guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns". Me = stunned disbelief. |

I tried. She disagreed with my interpretation of the bumpersticker, and clearly thought I was being an idiot. Only when I pointed out that the bumpersticker was an NRA favorite did make an impression, and even then she really thought her interpretation was correct. |

Heh. It was persuasive speech night. Some kid did one anti-gun control.
He had a chart that showed that in cities with more gun control (Las Angeles, D.C, New York) there were many more homicides as compared to the cities with lowest gun control, all of which were podunk towns in Idaho and North Dakota. He asked for any questions, and I asked if he realized that the higher homicide numbers were from a higher population, and had nothing to do with gun control. Silence, followed by "I guess so" I high-fived in my head. |

I did a whole speech on anti-gun control. I thought it was quite convincing. If I find it, I'll have to post it. Of course, that would be my stand, since I'm a gun nut. |
