I'm waiting for the commando stock to come out. This marker's gonna rock when I'm done. I have a few more mods up my sleeve. |

Here's my review of the apex barrel. It rocks! I never thought I would use a barrel other than the flatline because I love the straight trajectory so much. A friend of mine mentioned the apex barrel a few weeks ago, so I decised to check it out myself. I began this search with sceptacism and doubts about the APEX. I thought there's no way any knock-off barell could come close to the flatline. I was wrong. The APEX on my Tippmann X7 rocks! All the non believers have every right to dislike the APEX, because they were using it wrong. The APEX claims to allow the player to shoot around bunkers; forget it! This thing isn't good for that...the whole idea of shooting around or over a bunker is just lame and impractical. However, if you're looking for accuracy, distance, and a barrel that will shoot paintballs in a straight and flat trajectory, then the APEX is the answer. Having been a loyal fan and owner of the flatline for the last 6 years, you may consider this source reliable. Here are some managable drawbacks to the APEX.
Here are the benefits the APEX provides
Overall conclusion: The APEX barrel is better than the flatline...I know, I didn't think that was possible either.
I'd love to tell you about the custome mods to come, but I want my actions to speak louder than words. To be continued... |

Laxter, It's clear that you did not read my review of the APEX barrel, nor have you played with or against this piece of equipment. This barrel does not perform as advertised with regards to shooting around or over bunkers; trust me, it won't take you out if you're behind a bunker. With all due respect, we can only assume that you weren't shot in the face by a curveball, but rather by the player in clear view that you just neglected to notice. Additionally, I'd like to see how cheap you think this fine peice of equipment is after you've shot my gun. In all honesty, I wouldn't be suprised if you enjoyed it. |

to actually use the side curve or down curve is impractical on an Apexed barrel. its really used to the effect of a flatline by most. the thing is that an Apex is much easier to deal with than a flatline. they are easier to clean out and at not as picky on paint. also if you get an addapter you can put an apex on any regular straight barrel, so you can get a better quality barrel then apex tip it. |
