Well I bought a really cool drop forward today for my US-5.

The host that goes from the solenoid valve on the board to the asa is not long enough anymore.

I am looking at this now... and I see the clippard website and it seems you can only buy in 50 feet or 500 feet.

Now i'm coming to you, where have you guys bought this tubing?

And I need to know the size as well as the material.

also, another question:

Are there any benefits to using qevs on an e-bolt?

any good ways to increase cycle speed other than the 2-way mod

My ebolt isin't but I don't trust my own tech skills to drill it. Plus I don't really have $70 to spend on a new soleniod.

Yea. That is the exact same stuff that I am using. I am using the 2.0mm
stuff, but that's only because I ordered corresponding barbs and what not.
Depending on what you have I would get the smallest or second smallest
size.

are bigger barbs better?

right now, buying barbs or qevs as well as the line seems like a good idea as shipping is 5X as much as my order right now.

bigger barbs mean more flow. might as well pick up new ones and make
sure everything fits like it should and is nice and tight. i just did the same
thing. takes a bit to ship, but having swivel barbs on everything is nice.

so no opinion on qevs?

oh and where would one mount a gauge?

also, any regulators you reccomend that are fairly cheap?

actually, I'm not gona get new barbs unless you think they will grant extreme performance increases. The larger tubes may not fit into my custom-grip. (barely fits as is)

Barbs are not going to give you a huge performance gain. And unless you
are trying to get obtain lightening speeds with your gun, qevs aren't
neccesary either.

I say mount the guage in the reg, provided you have an extra 1/8th hole to
put it in. As for the reg itself, see if you can find someone parting one off of
a shocker/ion. I used one for awhile and it served it's purpose. Plus they
should be cheap.

is a reg that goes from the asa directly into the tank horizonatally my best bet?

or does a vertical reg work also with an e-bolt?

do I want a high pressure or low pressure reg?

Where you put the red is a matter of preference. I would go with one in the
vertical adapter because you are probably going to be using the asa for a lpr
(for the solenoid.)

As for high or low pressure regs, I would go with a high. You can lower your
operating pressure since you have an ebolt, but why take the chance of
going to low with a low pressure reg.

ok, thanks

just wondering, what is the air that goes from the asa, into the marker used for? (not the air that goes into the soleniod, the air that would go up the steel braided or macro line)

Ok...

The hose is the same stuff you would use on autocockers so just go to your local pb store and get the length that you need.

Bigger barbs = higher flow which means less chance of shoot down when shooting at higher speed, But unless you have a aftermarket board and ram fastest you will get is 15-16bps as that's asfast as the spring return will cycle without chopping.

QEV's= put on the back of your ram where the hose from the noid goes will allow you a slighty faster cycle time but then again you still have to deal with the spring so it is kinda pointless.

On the reg mounting your best bet would be to use a vertical adapter and use the reg as the forgrip.

Now high pressure vs. low pressure- I would personally just stick with HP, because if you went LP even though you have an ebolt you would still have to buy an low pressure kit which wil add just a bit of wait to the gum with the lp chamber, I had one on my 98c and all in all the gun shot just as good and didn't use as much air without it as it did with it. So just get the vertical adapter and a good reg that puts out 700-850 psi like a palmers or cp and you will good!

Last question! The air that goes in to ss hose/macro line hose into the marker goes into the vavle to have air to fire the paintball, the the air to the noid does is cycle the ebolt just gotta have air to the marker to propell the ball.

I hope i've answered all your questions! Have anymore just feel free to p.m. me.

Also I know I haven't been around in awhile and most won't remember me but trust me I know my stuff! All you have to is some simple searchs and you will see, that or some searchs on PBN same user name!
