Alright me and my friend are discussing which is better. I, of course think Tippmanns are better but I need more ammo. Does anyone else have any good reasons as to why Tippys are better?

Some can argue that Tippmanns are generally more durable and reliable than some Spyders, however Spyders really arent as bad as every Tippmann owner makes them out to be.

The electronic Spyders are pretty nice. Like the VS, Pilot, and Fenix. I hear some pretty good stuff about them.

Yea higher end spyder models have eyes and electronics, lower end spyders are cheaper then tippmanns. They also have as many if not more upgrades than tippmann guns. The only difference is Tippmann guns are heavier, and slightly more durable, as in you need to clean a spyder more often than a Tippmann. Of course if you respect your equipment you should be doing that either way. |

Tippmanns can be converted to Electro-Pneumatic and make sick Milsim Guns. Plus, they're made in Amerika |

The true advantage to a tippmann marker lies in the construction of the CVX valve versus the spyders using a classic Sherridan valve set-up. Liquid CO2 doesn't cause nearly as many problems with tippmann markers due to the fact that the valve has been engineered for optimal performance regardless of the weather conditions. Kingman, on the other hand, is using technology that is over 20 years old and cup-seals that are fairly hard and affected easily by the cold. Both are very upgradable since the advent of sear-tripping e-frames. Tippmann has the RT system which allows you to upgrade fire-power without needing to go electronic.
All in all, both are fine markers for the price, but when it comes to innovation, durability, and reliability in less-than-perfect conditions, tippmanns win out. |

Higher priced spiders are better then Tippmanns but overall i say Tippmanns are better becasue you can amke it to suit your style and as for spyders, once you get it that your style of play as to go with the gun. But Tippmanns you fix your gun to your style of play. I love my Tippmann (Equiped with a Flatline Barrel and MP5 Fixed Stock) and my cousin has a Spyder Pilot ACS and mine goes farther and more accuarte, his has a faster rate of fire but that is it. We went one on one and I owned.

Look and see which gun the larger fields use for rentals. This fact seems to be heavily leaning toward Tippmanns.
Then there's customer service...no comparison. |

i think that they are both the same cause the operation is the i have a vs3 and a-5 and they shoot about the same only really diffrent is the a-5 has more kick maybe if i use a lpk it would be the same but all in all they are both the same |

I have a Spyder and a 98 Custom, and I have to say my Tippmann is way better than my spyder. But you can't really talk about what gun is better. One may have better accuracy and be more durable, while the other has a faster rate of fire. The equipment really only makes a difference when the skill is the same. I played with a P.O.S. Gameface for a couple years, and I came out on top against a lot of people using Tippmanns. If you're a better player you could play with a pump pistol and win. I've seen it happen. But in my opinion, a Tippmann wins out over a Spyder because a Tippmann is the AK of the paintball world. You can fill it with dirt, sand or water and it'll still fire like normal. (That was metaphorical by the way. If you fill your gun with any of those you're not the brightest spork in the shed.)

well i preffer Tippmanns over spyders cause they've been around so long and they are way more customizable than spyders are. i used a spyder for a few months then sold it 2 my friend who also likes paintball and i bought an X-7 and i noticed a huge difference in accuracy rate of fire, kick, and use of C02. the spyder had a low rate of fire, less weight less kick, very low accuracy and it used more C02. so over all i use tippmans but if i ever get a Bob Long ill use it unless im doing scenario. |
